I feel sorry for Martial. He gets no help at all the way Jose plays. It must be so fecking frustrating . Why not just let the left back go forward & help.

In other news. Romero motm. This does not bode well.
What help should he get? Sometimes he's just poor however we play.
And looks like he doesn't care that much..

Players don't look arsed if they win or loose imo. I just hope they are fired up for the final!

It's almost as if we've prioritised the Europa League over the league or something

A Manchester United manager prioritising a second rate European trophy over the league. That is the level that he has brought the club to.

Yeah, when that title brings you CL and it's a title Manchester United has never won.

    It's crazy I know.

That's stupid, he prioritised it because it's our best chance of getting in the CL and it's also a trophy.

An overlapping fullback obviously, so that he isn't against two men every time. That's his natural demeanour, he was the same last season.

I just can't see how we will be 'adrenalised' for the final after doing so badly the past month. Dead rubber games or not, morale must be low, no wins in a long time now and everything looks so disjointed.

    Very worried for the final.

Why is it worrying? Jose has basically said these games are a nuisance for the final? when your manager comes out and says that.. Do you expect the players to have any sense of urgency to get a result or just go through the motions?

So you think he would be better only if he had the help from FB. What about the times he loses the ball or goes to dribble few players but it doesn't come through?

No I don't. That's why their performances dropped to a long-time low. We've been very bad at least for a month in the league now. Playing this way, do you genuinely think that in a week from now we will be playing our best football after such a bad month or two?

We're not arsenal, 4th place isn't a trophy. We are in an actual european final (doesnt matter if not cl final its still a final) in a week, why we would put our best team out and try and play at 100%? Its a dead rubber match.

We could have already been in the Champions League if A. He could set a team up to break teams down at home and B. If he didn't give up on top 4 so early.

As for having never won the Europa who cares it a second tier competition I remember United fans rightly mocking Liverpool when they won it as part of their mickey mouse treble and now we are absolutely desperate to win it.

We've given up weeks ago to prepare for the final. what exactly are we trying to with these games , avoid injuries, strip confidence & play our way into super shit form ?
I'm struggling tbh. It's a strange one, but Jose obviously knows what he's doing

He didn't give up on top 4 early. When he realized we can't reach it by the league he prioritized EL which is completely logical.

You don't care about EL I would love for United to win it.. We didn't mock Liverpool for winning but for calling winning those 3 cups a treble.

Having support down his wing would definitely make things easier for him, yes. What relevance does the second sentence have to the fact that he'd play better with better support?

What are you talking about? Why would this be stripping confidence before the final?

    yes actually.......

Lost the ball multiple times tonight because of poor decisions/passing. Stuff he should be good at with playing where he does, and most of the time it's his fault and not the system by this point

We are looking really bad. I am worried, the Mourinho affect is representing performances. Do any of those players look happy to be playing for Manchester United.

It's been dreadful, absolutely abysmal in recent weeks. This football isn't in the tradition(s) of Manchester United and NO manager has the right to do that.

I'm sorry..but after being on this site since 2001 and seeing all sorts of people come and go and sometimes being more involved and not because, well...things take over in life.......bloody hell this is the worst era on the cafe.....

Having an overlapping fb doesn't make him not lose the ball or being just in a bad form.
    That's the relevance.
Overlapping FB would make things easier, sure, but then again even with that he could have a poor game. Like when he missplaces a pass or loses the ball or make wrong decisions generally.

Rooney has left bitter taste in my mouth in his final season .He should just retire from England as well.

It would him less likely to. He wouldn't have to beat two men at the same time when he tries to attack if they had to deal with the left back making a run as well. Who's denying he's in bad form? You asked the other user what help Martial could get and I said an overlapping fullback, which definitely would make a difference. I wasn't disputing him having a poor season.

Of course it is, it's almost the worst era of United since 2001, people must be mad.

You mean Martial cared before last 3 games?

What do you want him to do to prove he cares ? Get a tattoo ? It's the way the lad is, his demeanour. He gets zero support, but carry on slating him. Why do you think hazard stopped performing for Jose in the same position ?

    Then we're agreeing.

One thing is his demenaour. Other thing is when he play like he doesn't care.
Hazard won a PL with Jose btw.

I know that, but that was ' the new attacking ' Jose. That went out the window in January of his title winning season. Exactly the same time that hazards form did. Jose went defensive to protect his lead & from that day forward left forward got no support . It's been the same story here. Left backs play like centrehalfs.

Its going to be difficult to up a gear after playing this walking football for so long. The passing is poor and no one makes any off the ball runs lets face it its dross.
