Can't believe how easy we are lulled in to sleep in matches like this. We seriously need some leadership to hinder this happening.

Sevilla have gone something like 19 games unbeaten. They're not a shit team. They're playing good football and are making us look uncomfortable. We just can't seem to keep our composure of the ball. The plus side is that we have pace up top so can counter-quickly, but the downside is that we don't look like controlling most of the ball. Seems to be that we are eager to move the ball forward quickly, which I guess is just the way that we play our game these days. Nowt wrong with it, but it does mean that the opposition will end up with tons of control and of the ball, which makes it more likely for us to concede.

Why does Pogba play the game with half the urgency of everyone else?

Genuinely asking, does anyone know why he is stuck at this slow pace?

I find myself in despair every week at it

They are trying t to overload us on their left. Greenwood isn't defending enough and AWB is being hung out to dry.

Feck knows why they said they were checking the goal?
Yeah, it was clear out for us. So why is that not overruled?

According to the rules, VAR cannot go further than the start of the offensive phase. Meaning that it isn't supposed to overrule a throw in (or a corner kick) because it's de facto considered the beginning of a new phase.

Yeah that's Shaw. Williams is the backup for a reason. I'd expect the backup to make mistakes.
I don't. This kind of mistakes are sunday league level. From PL full back i expect to know how to position himself.

Yeah, it was clear out for us. So why is that not overruled?

They said VAR can’t overrule those types of decisions which does sound ridiculous as it’s led to the opponent scoring from that throw.

My question is, what where they checking the goal for if it wasn’t for that?

Hardly led to the goal mate. That's on our defence to do their job.

It was poor defending, but it did have an impact. They should not have had possession in the first place. It wasn't even that many passes between throw in and the goal.

It can be worse, though, as this rule also restricts disallowing goals that were scored directly from free kicks that should never have been given. It needs to be looked at for those cases at least.

AWB is fast becoming a mistake. This style of football doesn't suit him. He is good in defensive teams. Also has been jogging back when out of position. Not sure what has happened since restart but he has been quite poor

Several years in and still waiting for Pogba to be worth even half of his transfer fee.

Ole says he wants to press but we are always the team getting pressed.

An opponent who presses and pogba having a poor game, name a more iconic duo etc etc.

We are so disjointed. 4 players attacking, 6 players defending. As soon as one of the 6 defending gets the ball it is all about finding one of the 4 attacking players as in a ploy to get the ball away.

Our pressing is absolutely non existent, must be by choice. At least i hope so:nervous:

Wan Bissaka's positional awareness is a problem. To often he gets dragged out of position and then just jogs back leaving a slow Lindelof exposed. He needs to get better at this.

Pogba to me is football's Federer. It looks effortless, but also nonchalant, which is frustrating when it goes wrong.
