    We havent got enough strength in depth. We havent got a Greenwood to come off the bench. Why he doesnt bring Ighalo on with time to make a difference I dont know. Everyone can see James is out his depth and offers nothing different. Hopefully he learns the lesson and the Glazers see they need to put their hands in their pockets. Sancho wont happen but we could still get 2 decent players in at least.

    The game is about goals ffs. That is why we not in the final. Learn the rules of the game. If he said we created the most chances...yes. Were we the most dangerous looking...yes. Were we the better team...NO. We lost. There is no discussion to be had. We are out the competition. That means we were not the better team. It is as black as black and as white as white. Losing=not better

    Agree they were not by far the better team only 1 chance they had to score in both half and took them, it's tournament football it happens in the world cup, etc, teams win games they shouldn't. It's happend in CL , as well. It's not the way to play the leagues but in these times it had to be.

    Matic is good, but who would he come on for and for what reason?
    I agree with Ighalo, he's been underused.
    Mata is finished, changing the game against Copenhagen is different to changing the game against a team like Sevilla who would press him to death.

    That is a woeful take.

    Seriously people are clutching at negative straws. James, Mata or fecking Lingard are not the answer.

    We had loads of chances and didn't put them away. 9 times out of 10 we win that game.
     
    We had 6 clear cut chances & scored 1, they had 1 clear cut chance & scored 2.

    If you miss chances & defend poorly you are going to lose games. These are fundamentals.

    Hahaha Maguire said 'best team lost'. Wrong the BETTER team won because the aim of the game is to score more goals than the opposition. We only scored one - yes robbed by two pen decisions - Sevilla got two.

    Rashford has been poor since football resumed. I would have started Ighalo instead of him tonight.

    You do realise us and Bayern were tied for shots but we had more shots on target and more possession in that game?

    There is a myth that we were shite that night. It was a very close game, even though Keane and Scholes were missing.

    I’m not saying we played perfectly we conceded two poor goals and the subs were late I agree, just think on balance it’s a very harsh loss.

    I don’t think Ole believes in his subs, Ighalo and James isn’t gonna make a difference especially when we were creating chances already, just couldn’t put one away.

    Im hoping the loss kick starts Ed in the Sancho negotiation, I hope we turn it into a positive in that sense.
     
    Everyone looked unfit to me.

    All of these Corona matches - CL and Europa - are all down to key moments. No team bar Bayern look fit.

    Making changes just to be seen to be doing something is the height of stupidity. It drives me mad when people think any action is better than doing nothing. It stinks of panic.

    Yes. We scored more goals than Bayern. The history books show we won the Champions League and the Germans did not. We were therefore the better team. When people say 'better' in tonight's context they mean we created more chances and should score more goals. But the aim of thr game is scoring goals not chances created. Nor is it about how long we had possession of the ball. They took their chances we didn't. That is why City are back in Manchester and it is why we are going the same route.

    Sure, but this is also a factor right? How you go out in the transfer market and address the issue. As I said before this points to a desperate need in quality in depth. The likes of both Sancho and Grealish are required to give us added dimensions.

    We will get rid of a couple and bring in a few new faces, Im sure of it. If we improve our starting XI and some of our current starting XI become options from the bench we'll look a lot better.

    Well, that's not true either.

    The Monty Hall problem - if you can, always change.

    It could actually be a good research for someone with spare time and proper analytics.

    I'm gonna go on a limb here, and make a statement that the manager who changes first, wins.

    He adapts first, he's proactive, his team responds better.

    In a 1-1 semifinals with 20 minutes to go, it showed tonight.
     
    The defense was shocking tonight, Maguire was far far far too much money. Forget Sancho, get a better CB. Sevilla were fortunate with that result but United can’t continue with this backline and GK.

    And that is a major issue. You cant go forward's with such little quality.
    They'll be at the club next season, that I'm sure of. Who wants them and who's going to offer them the same wages in this Covid climate?
