It's tricky to go with 433 if Jose doesn't fancy Ander and Marouanne is out injured. In a huge away game, I'd leave McTominey on the bench, so 4231 seems to be preferable to 433, unless Jesse is asked to drop a bit deeper, whether or not that can work.

    4231/433
    de Gea
    Tony Bailly Jones Shaw
    Matic
    Jesse-----Pogba
    Sanchez-----------------Martial
    Rom

If Bailly is fit enough that is. Otherwise I'd like to see us lining up like this:

    de Gea
    Lindelof Smalling Jones/Rojo
    Tony-------------------------------Shaw
    Matic-------Pogba
    Sanchez---------------------Martial
    Rom
I really hope Jose starts playing Sanchez and Pogba on the opposite sides of the pitch and giving Martial the position that he is efficient in.

Lukaku should stay away from their corners then.

Yep unless we want to add another direct assist for the opposition to make it 5 goals against use from his bizarrely atrocious abysmal “defensive” headers.

It’s really odd but I would back him to score with his head in allot of situations. It’s like he can’t just clear it with any power or direction when heading in defensive situations.

Sevilla is currently fifth in La Liga, and their manager is quite a character.

"Maybe we can KILL him!" Sevilla boss targets Alexis Sanchez ahead of Manchester United clash
Sevilla boss Vincenzo Montella has admitted his side may have to take out Alexis Sanchez when they face Manchester United tomorrow.

Italian coach Montella has watched Sanchez's career develop from his time at Udinese through to Barcelona, Arsenal and now United, and joked that Seville may have to resort to crude tactics to stop him.

“Maybe we could kill him or knock him down or something!” joked Montella ahead of the first leg of the last 16 tie against United.

“I remember Sanchez really well from his time in Italy. He has improved a lot his style in his career and he's a really good player in terms of the transitions and finding spaces, and has a really good speed in attack.”

Defender Sergio Escudero also admitted Sanchez, who won all five games he played at Sevilla when he was at Barcelona, is a player Montella's side must contain.

“We have a lot of respect for United and, in Alex Sanchez, they have a really good quality player,” said Escudero.

“We know him from his time at Barcelona - he’s really intelligent and he could be a big danger to us."

Cheers mate. Jones cannot be injured again, can he?

I think you know the answer to that one. In his post match interview after Huddersfield FA cup game, Mourinho said Rojo, Jones, Zlatan and Fellaini had no chance of making CL game. He was more hopeful about Herrera, Rashford and Valencia.

Interesting pattern developing this season. Jones has played 21 PL matches and 0 in other competitions. He was an unused sub for one CL game and 2 in the League Cup.

Any chance we go with a back 3 and wing backs?

Think he's likely to go Valencia and Young as full-backs if both are fit.

I'll be happy with a score draw.

Unless it is 2-2 or 3-3, no. I don't want a 1-1 and then to shit our pants at OT when they score a freak goal like the Anderlecht and Celta Vigo games last season. A 2-2 means even if they score one goal, we have to score only one to go through, and 3-3 is the same, giving us better odds.

1-1 is not good for my poor heart considering we don't know how our Jekyll and Hyde team turns up each game.

    Did Pogba travel?

Champions league knockout stages. Cannot wait.

Hoping we have a good game, and that Jose goes with the right tactics and balance.

Our style of football and attacking players will hopefully suit europe more than teams that more often than not stick 10 behind the ball.

Sevilla will press high and look to attack us from the start which you’d think would create space for our players to get in behind and hopefully score on the counter.

Sevilla are no mugs, this is real test for us and I cant fecking wait!! Then onto Hopefully nailing the final nail in Contes coffin sunday!

I guess with all the centerback injuries, 3 at the back is out of the picture. Which is a pity, cause I really think it could help us dominate the game.

    Issues for me, besides injuries:
    Lindelöf or Bailly?
    McTominay or Herrera?
    Mata, Martial or Lingard?

Yes but Sevilla are a very good home team, while we are usually a poor and cowardly away team.

Even I, an adept of the 4-2-3-1, think it's crazy if tomorrow we use it, Pogba or no Pogba.

If we don't score 3-4 I'll be disappointed.. We have everything going, Mata and the wingers should run right through them..

If lesser teams score 3-5 against their opposition we should too..

I'm also expecting to be an error to start this match with a just returned from injury Bailly, Sevilla's attackers are really quick.

I have a feeling this is going to absolutely torture of a 90 minutes. I hate playing sides who press as quickly and Sevilla are very quick and decisive in it :nervous::nervous::nervous:
