    We have been off the pace in this regard for years now. People liked to point to our possession stats under LVG, but we wilted under high pressure schemes. In my opinion, the only way we'll catch up with the rest of the elite is to improve this aspect of our play.

    McTominay looks out of his depth today for me. Which is fair given his age and experience of course.
     
    McTominay seriously isn’t ready to step up to a game of this magnitude. For me he just isn’t good enough at the moment.

    Matic's play these days remind me of how Schweinsteiger was for us. Lethargic as feck.
     
    That pass from Matic, jesus, suicide. Generally though the midfield have done a decent job in protecting the defensive unit, amazingly how much better they look when the midfield does their job.
     
    It amazes me how slow the players are to react to the second ball, they could have a 5 yard head start and still not claim it.
