    How do these refs still fall for it? If a player goes to ground they can't help blow their whistle.

    Hoping Barcelona makes a bid for the lad:D Jose's a complete and utter weirdo. Just try and be a little brave in attack and you just might get rewarded. Instead, he'll want us to spend more money because he refuses, or can't get the best out of our attacking players.
     
    So two hours spent and ultimately the officiating changes the result again. Little bar my love for United makes me want to watch football.

    Madrid have looked the technically superior, more coherent side, who are easier on the eye, but United have been just as effective at working the keeper.

    We don't playing anyone close to Madrid in the league, so not too disappointed.
     
    Good performance. Madrid did to us what they do to every other sde. Doesnt really mean much since this side is so much better than the rest
     
    Last half hour was worrying honestly, we still fall into our bad habits so easily

    Deserved win all in all, but this game shouldn't have been this close given the way we battered you for the first hour of the game

    *He doesn't rate his work rate and attitude. Talent wise he's a big fan. It's up to Martial to redouble his efforts while he isn't getting picked and then work his arse off when he is.

    Certainly didn't disgrace themselves against the best side in the WORLD.

    After the Bale crossbar chance United dominated and could have easily took this to extra time or even won it.
     
    Real deserved to win, but feck me, the ref was a joke in that game, everytime a gust of wind hit a Madrid player he blew the whistle.

    Everything considered not terrible, but needs improvement.
     
    Just not good enough or as good as Real Madrid. We played a team who the majority have played in the same team for 3+ seasons and we had 3 debutants, it showed. Their players knew where each other were going to be and where they were going to run, not to mention the quality they have.

    I can see us getting to the quarters of the CL and that's about it, lack the aggression and flair in attack.

    Absolutely loved the fight and urgency in the 2nd half. Rashford light years ahead of Lingard, don't even know why he started tbh should've been Martial to begin with.

    Can't be mad at all. Team left their all out there and adjusted as well as they could have. Had Rashford buried that chance in on alone would've been extra time as we speak. Can't wait for the season to start :)
     
    Well, losing by 1 offside goal to RM is pretty typical. Still, we had plenty of chances to equalise and I feel like it could be a similar season to last, we look like we can match anyone but our finishing is just poor. I can't believe Rashford and Lingard always get chosen ahead of Martial. Martial has ice in his veins when it comes to finishing.
     
    Not a bad match overall, score could have been higher for both teams but in the end it was decent score line.

    Good thing is we won't play team as good again this season unless we meet them again in CL.
     
    We really need 2 quality wide players and 1 left Fullback as what we have now is too mediocre to challenge for the big titles. This game showed that it will be costly in the next season if nothing is changed in this regard.

    We didnt lump it to Fellaini, only 1 of the long balls played out from the back went to Fellaini. Its this huge myth thats repeated every time Fellaini plays and because its repeated by parrots every game its become something people believe.
     
    We didn't deserve to win, but we still could have done better. Missed chances and still bad defending. At least we didn't get bummed.
     
    Matic was the best midfeilder out there . 352 killed us initialy. Ball circulation idiotic
     
    Much better second half than first. Can't agree with keeping Martial and Mata on their ass for the entire game. When you're looking for quality in the final third, they are as good as we've got.

    Last 15 minutes of the first we were the better team and the last half an hour we were the better team. You deserved to win but the gulf in the sides weren't nearly as big as was made out.
     
    Put up a decent showing in second half, Fellaini caused them problems so too the pace of Rashford but overall beaten by a side head and shoulders above our level right now. I really hope we sign another player before the window shuts, I think our side is crying out for a player who can cross the ball. Biggest plus point for me was Matic.

    I don't mind listening to negativity over playing Fellaini, sometimes I agree with it.

    But under Mourinho he's been a rock for us, and I'd be more than happy to see him start most games in a midfield three over Herrera.

    Are you denying that we crossed the ball a lot more when Fellaini came on than beforehand?
     
    shocking stuff from mourinho in my opinion. conservative football. starting with lingard instead of rashford and making darmain play a conservative role instead of offering width. gutless football.
     
    It's hard to blame the players tbf. The were told not press the midfield and keep a back 6 at all times. If we don't commit bodies forward then we won't score enough, simples.

    They did but bar about 20 minutes they didn't threaten a great deal. They are a much better team mind you.
