Their defenders' ability on the ball and passing are better than all our players except Pogba.. Says it all really when they camped in our half.Their fullbacks are far superior. Why, we playing the champions of Europe every week?Real are dominating possession because they're effectively playing about 7 in midfield. Marcelo and Carvajal haven't been playing at fullback because we have no wingers. Our own fullbacks have been pushed back so as a result so there's no out-ball. That's made it particularly difficult for Darmian, who's never been a great passer.
I still maintain we're not far behind in terms of a couple of extra signings. But Real have their setup just right.
When it was a midfield battle, we were fairly even. The differences have caused small ripples that have turned into big waves.
