    Maguire has been good, but the total lack of workrate from the forwards and midfield tracking runners and getting back is a disgrace.

    Dalot, Rashford, McTominay and Martial off.

    Lindelof, Amrabat, Antony and Hojlund on.

    At least Antony will give AWB some cover and Shaw out to left back because Dalot is dirt.
     
    Game after game we completely vacate the midfield. Teams just run through us at will
     
    Just devoid of any style or structure. Even if we scored we will concede at least three (if we are lucky. ) Depressing.

    Think about it from Newcastle perspective: totally battering Manchester for 45 minutes, cutting through them with ease, Manchester offering almost no resistance, Manchester's goalkeeper is Flappy McClownfeet, and Newcastle still can't score. Newcastle manager out!

    newcastle is a top top team at home but we should play with more intensity. other than that i am hapyy its 0-0. you never know - there were 2-3 chances for a counter goal
     
    Ten Hag boys - Keeping a clean sheet and Onana largely untroubled. Good half.

    Everyone else - This is terrible, second best at everything.
     
    Rashford refusing to track back and AWB doing his best Jogba impression. That flank will kill us.

    what would you like him to do when all our players are giving no effort to give him a chance to find an outlet, or when he does boot it actually put some effort into winning the ball.
     
    What's our game plan here. We've conceded the midfield and then we're not even trying to defend the 18 yard box. Is it just give Newcastle possession and hope they continue to miss chances?
     
    Bar Maguire, every player just weak as piss. Nearly every players’ first touch has deserted them too. Mainoo I suppose was calm but we need to slow it the feck down!
     
    I'm off to spray the bathroom with mould shield and then paint the hallway. If I'm lucky the collective fumes will make me forget that I just watched us struggle towards a 0-0 at half time against fecking Newcastle.

    It's a load of rubbish. But nothing we haven't seen several times already this season. We're going nowhere with Ten Hag
     
    Literally forgot Scott was playing until he got into a little scrap there. Rashford been very poor again so far too.

    Newcastle have been too physical and outrun us first half.
     
    They're completely controlling the game. Another horrible performance. Expected, though.
     
    The good news is that it's still 0-0.

    The bad news is... everything else.
     
    We're a bloody hard watch aren't we. Constant last ditch defending and can barely get the ball.

    Only positive is we've not conceded. Yet.
     
    This half showed our actual, depressing level. Ten Hag has done f*ck all coaching.
     
    The back 4 have played well and Maguire has been excellent. The rest have been non-existent.
     
    Our defending in the channels and tracking back has been so poor. We’ve got absolutely zero control of midfield as Mainoo looks like the only one who can play a pass.

    Same issues creep in for the last 10+ years. Just a bunch of players. No team work. No one knows what they should do.
    This is over and above just the pure lack of hunger, especially Rashford. He doesn’t want to be on that pitch. Take him off.

    I'm a fan of Mainoo and he's been very tidy with the ball. But he's letting the midfield absolutely bully him. There's been no good player in our midfield today, we've been destroyed in that department.

    It's been like this for years against any half decent side. I swear even when we were dominant we never used to batter the other supposedly top sides like we get battered routinely, the only positive is that we've managed to hang on thus far despite looking like a lower league side playing a cup tie away to a big team.
     
    How are we always in a position where the other team has an advantage? Whether attacking, defending or trying to win a a loose ball, we are always outnumbered.
     
    I thought our worst performances this season were behind us. I was wrong.

    If Rashford is not subbed at half time, I'll scream. His press work is scandalous.
     
    Missed most of the first half but from the comments on here, sounds like we've been gash and are lucky to be 0-0!

    I don't mind him as a player mostly, went from a 40m dud striker to a workhorse wide forward. But his testosterone cheating ways really need a comeuppance. Would like to see us snap at him every possible chance.
