    Rash is only explosive? He is a good dribbler with the ability to beat a man and has a great right footed shot with an eye for the goal. Yeah his game has flaws but he's been a very important player for us that doesn't warrant describing him like a pace merchant aka Dan James.

    Nani was absolutely world class talent wise, and was easily our best player for a year and a half. He unfortunately had the habit of making some truly idiotic decisions every now and then and that (unfairly imo) saw him lose out of favour with SAF at a critical time in his career. This team would be much, much better with a Nani in the team right now. Rashford can only beat people with pace, Nani would beat people consitently with skill.

    Read the posts a few above mine where apparently anyone who plays as much as Rashford can automatically contribute to as many goals as him.
     
    Hope Varane starts. I know Telles has been good under Rangnick and Shaw's had a really poor season but I just think our ceiling in terms of progressing the ball is so much higher with him in the team. Would love to see a Lindelof/Varane pairing but Maguire never gets dropped. Unlikely but the team I'm hoping for/think is realistic:

    So Zaha has played more games and scored fewer goals, so how’s it proven? Guy even finished in the top 20 scorers 20/21 season, so where’s the thousands that out scored him?
    Did he piss in your cereal or don’t you like him forcing the government to feed needy kids? I don’t get it.
     
    Rashford is bound to have a decent match at sole stage, Newcastle is probably an easy chance for him to start performing again

    If Rashford starts this, he has a strong message to send. Hopefully he starts putting football on his mind as a top priority.
     
    Sancho dropped. Interesting to see which of Greenwood or Rashford are playing in the front 2. Very happy to see Varane back in the team.
     
    Odd that so many have a strong opinion on Rashford starting due to poor form but not Bruno
     
    Rashford is living a charmed life. No matter the manager, no matter how dire the level of performance, he is untouchable.
     
    Quite an attacking lineup, if not a little worried about the work rate of Rashford, Greenwood and Ronaldo but we’ll see and hopefully put on an attacking display so won’t have to worry about as much defensively..
     
    We've a match fairly soon after this one too so don't get too worked up about line up
     
    Finally, a game! Feels like ages. If the leaked line up is right, I'm surprised at no Shaw and Sancho. Rashford operating on the right usually doesn't lead to good things but maybe he and Mason will interchange throughout. Glad to see Varane back and Mason get a start.
     
    Would be nice if Rashford and Bruno decide not to stink the place out tonight. Sancho unlucky not to start if that leak is true, but maybe he could be one of those recovering from Covid?
     
    Ralf has used Greenwood as one of the two number 10's and I assume that will be the case again tonight. Would rather see Greenwood up top, with Sancho instead of Rashford.

    Yeah we don't know what the situation is with regards the impact of Covid on players.
