I think it’s a flimsy excuse to say the players are not good enough.
On the other hand, these players can lose to anyone on their day, no matter who is coaching them. The main reason is the lack of quality in CM. No matter which of our boys we select, if they are below their absolute best, they are a big problem to us.
We should beat Newcastle and most of the other teams in the league but with our CM being so vulnerable, it’s never a shock when we don’t.
Apart from CM, I think the squad is okay. I wouldn’t blame RR or Ole for us not winning tonight.
