Ok with Fred and McTominay in midfield. Assuming Martial and Greenwood are injured (sorry haven't been keeping up with injury news) which is why we're seeing Mata and James, not exactly delighted with that.
Wouldn't be delighted to see him either, but where's Lingard? No wide options on the bench and I'd have thought he might be a sub here if Greenwood and Martial are out.You lose 6-1 to Spurs and this is the lineup you respond with.

Doing your job as a holding midfielder & be fantastic at it aren’t the same thing. We were walked through as a midfield with them in it on multiple occasions last season; that’s not a no.10s fault.

Think he means James hasn't been good enough for awhile, Mata shouldn't be anywhere near our first 11.
Yet a window gone, and we are relying on them. Simply isn't good enough. Just the fact everyone is crying for Greenwood still goes to show how poor we were in upgrading the team.
