Quite a bit of unexpected rest for Zlatan. I think April first week is when he plays again.

He'll train with the team until Saturday and then will be off for a week or 10 days, so yeah he'll have everything in hands to be decisive till the end of the season

And he needs to too considering our fixtures.

Am I the only one fuming about having to face CFC and Arsenal in-between our EL ties? How fecking unlucky is that?

And add Spurs after a possible semi final second leg.

So it's really impossible to be in top four and playing EL at the same time, we just can't do it this year.

And don't forget that we still have two games to play lol

Banana skin if ever there was one. Team in tatters, new coach and we have an under strength team playing hideous football.

Dreary indeed. Hope our players prove us wrong though.

The 4-1 defeat to Boro in 2005 has never left me. Stung for a good few days. Genuinely one of SAF's worst losses.

Bare bones, away, to a gritty boring team that don't concede too many goals and are gonna raise their game for the incoming new manager. Not confident in the slightest, given how we've been playing lately.

    -----------------DDG--------------------
    Valencia----Bailly----Smalling----Darmian
    --------Carrick--------Fellaini---------------
    Mkhitaryan-----Mata------------Young-----
    --------------Rashford----------------

SUBS - Lingard (Darmian, with Young dropping to LB), Jones (Valencia).

    Middlesboro 1 - 1 Man United
    Negredo Mata

    That ended 2-2 I think.

Ronaldo, Alfonso Alves with 2 and Rooney to save us late.
For a few weeks of the 2007/08 season, he looked like the next big thing. By 2009 he was playing for Al-Sadd in Qatar.

With United's tough recent schedule, the injuries/suspensions situation and the way teams that have their manager sacked often turn in a good performance in their next game this could be hard going. Got to agree the timing - midday kick off - when it could have been either 2.15 or 4.30 is hard to take. Also when you consider the distance between OT and Middlesborough compared to Spurs-Southampton and City-Liverpool it's harsh.
Just got to get on with it though.

with Injuries and suspensions in midfield I actually think we will go with 3 at the back again.

    ____________ddg___________
    ____Bailly Smalling Rojo____
    Valencia Fellaini Carrick Young
    __Mata Rashford Mkhitaryan__

I hope Darmian doesn't play. Boro are pretty dour and will need some opening up and he offers nothing going forward.

It will never happen but i wouldn't mind seeing Blind in midfield.

The thing is if people are so sure we won't win, some good easy money is to be made to back the draw and home win. Think only Chelsea and Everton are shorter priced favourites this weekend.

It’s crazy how good we’ve had it with injuries this season, now all of a sudden, added with suspensions we’ve got possibly 8 first team players out. Kind of happy that we have the break after Sunday, but then again the players on international duty travel and play more than they would doing that time at the club.

Danny Blind: "I have spoken to Daley as a father and as a coach, and I can tell you that all is well with him.” (via @Sport_Witness)

Again, we could present a decent and rested competitive team on Sunday, except for the center-backs (which is hard, if we keep playing all four all the time!).

In other news, with all the unavailable and only Carrick, Fellaini, and Fosu-Mensah to play midfield, it's hard to see how we're going to revert to 4-2-3-1, even if Rooney's (or a very tired Mata) available to start as #10, and even less 4-3-3.

After being completely surprised by Mourinho's decision to play 3 at the back against Rostov (at home!), this isn't probably the game to change.

Boro are pretty darn poor attacking wise, and sacking the manager surely won't instantly change that.
The big question is can we be any sort of attacking threat ourselves with Thursday in the legs, and Ibra and Martial out!

Would be handy, with two of our rivals playing each other!

Fecking hell, can you imagine Darmian at left-back with Adama running at him?

No Ibra, Herrera or Pogba. No news on Martial either.

This is going to be shit.

That's basically our attacking/midfield spine - all unavailable.
Apart from Mata and Miki who occasionally score a goal between them, I don't see where the goals are going to come from.
If Borough attack us, then I can see us scoring 1 or 2 goals. Otherwise, it may be 0-0.
