    I think Mourinho loves the Valencia-Mata combination in the right wing, so I don't think that's going to happen. If it was Mkhitaryan as #10, probably.

    I am liking the 3-4-3 experiment we're doing, very modern. Right, let's hope we can get a win today and finally move up the table :drool: No excuses!
     
    I, for one, don't buy the whole fixture congestion argument. Jose, at the beginning of the season, was saying how he couldn't wait for the Europa League to start, so that he could give an opportunity to all of his players to play.

    We have the squad depth to compete on all fronts. But it seems like Jose doesn't like rotating a few players. Pogba and Zlatan have played so many consecutive games this season, that it was only a matter of time before an injury befell upon them.

    My main issue though is the apparent distrust in younger players, which is perhaps something we expected from Jose - players like TFM and Shaw have been marginalised to such an extent that something extraordinary would need to happen for them to even get a look-in at the match day squad. Today was a good opportunity to play them in the first XI but once again they are overlooked.

    We have some pace up top today but I would like to see Jose make greater use of his squad players, especially the younger ones that need some game time. It will be a tricky run-in with games coming in once every 3 days so he'll have to manage his squad well.
     
    I'm very underwhelmed by this line up, like most people in here. I'll be ecstatic if we come away with a win here, but I'm not feeling very hopeful at the moment

    This selection is fine. Thought Smalling looked a bit lost against against Rostov of the middle of the 3 CBs, attempted a few hard passes to wings that looked not quite on target. Hopefully with Carrick in front of him he'll just be playing simple balls to him, and look after breaking boro forwards, which is likely with Carrick and Fellaini being, erm, slow.

    “Mkhitaryan and Rojo are on the bench and it’s difficult for them to play. The ones that are injured or suspended are not here. This is the group we have but I am positive, I trust the guys, when somebody doesn’t play it’s an opportunity for somebody else. I trust my boys.

    “Fresh? Fresh because they didn’t play against Rostov in the last match but that is not just physical team and the accumulation of matches and responsibilities but well, we lose some players, some very important players but we have some with a desire to play and we are going to try our best. Let’s go for it and not moan about the players who are not playing.”

    I don't care how you get it done, lads, just do it. 3 pts here is a must, anything less is inexcusable, Boro are turd. No ifs or buts, they are RUBBISH this season.
     
    It's a pretty uninspiring lineup but with injuries and suspensions there's not a lot Jose can do. Good given the circumstances.

    Shaw's been overlooked, but not because he's young, it's an attitude problem, much like Martial. The other youngster is Fosu-Mensah, who's tactically very naive, and could have featured more in the past easy games, if we have opted for the 3-4-3 before.
     
    Looking at that team you can see how badly we need to improve our squad players.

    According to the manager, hard for Rojo or Mkhitaryan to feature even as substitutes due to their physical condition. Martial is another issue, in my view. If Mourinho trusted his attitude, of course, he would start today.
     
    Bailly as part of a back three means it's really a back two and a half. He's a very attack minded defender.
