    Good to bed him in with technical players, who even though have not trained a lot together; can hopefully link a few moves that lead to some good goals.

    Its fans like you that is contributing to the rapid slide downwards of our beloved club. The expectations keep falling.
    After a double hattrick, I expect him to go in goal and save a penalty against Adama.
     
    Would have preferred to work Bruno in over the winter break but considering it's the Wolves, it's almost like playing in the Portuguese league with bad weather.
     
    Apparently, Bruno is starting in defensive midfield. We really do have a clueless manager if so.

    As much as its not his best position, I'd still expect Bruno to do better in that role than Andreas, who has played there so many times and is always dreadful.

    He's starting beside Fred. He's an 8. I don't know how this is remotely controversial. He seems to literally be playing his position. Like maguire at centre back. Or Shaw at left back.

    Technically it's a double pivot and the more defensive minded will drop deeper, in this case most likely Fred the Destroyer
     
    Yeah you don't seem to be playing Bruno in his proper position in the slightest. Why play him together with Mata and Pereira? :eek:

    I've seen a couple of matches that he played in that position. Ridiculous choice that. He did look dangerous whenever he drifted to the middle.
    Seems some managers would benefit from that toddler game where they have to fit a piece in the correct hole.
     
    I think there is more expectation placed upon bruno's shoulders than any other player in the last decade.

    It's more hope than anything, because we're also at our lowest point in the last decade.

    You're being disingenuous. Lampard was a midfielder but playing in a midfield two he was always much worse than playing in a three with freedom to attack. Fernandes has primarily played the same way so there's legitimate concern about whether we've bought another player that doesn't fit into our setup and we're going to try and reinvent him.

    Fred does get through an awful lot of work but he's not a defensive midfielder who can carry the midfield singlehandedly. Fernandes will need to be very responsible or we'll be vulnerable. Nice to have someone with creativity from deep though!
     
    I wouldn't be against us playing 4-2-2-2

    A midfield of Fred and Pereira is very open. Packing the middle might help.

    He doesn’t have to be Paul Pogba, but just hope he has a bit of intelligence about him, we’ve too many brain dead players that routinely make terrible decisions on the pitch.
     
    I'm watching The Kick off live (True Geordie) and they always bring in doom and gloom banter United fans in everytime who agrees to their crews banter against United. Esp. after they had Adam McKola who actually stood up for United in the show and didn't go on with their banter, and he hasn't been on the show since.
