Good win - not a great performance and not without riding our luck at times, but still plenty of positives. Brandon Williams - what a player! Matic solid, great finish from Mata, Romero reliable as always.

I'll take any positives from this season as we can get, and that won't be that many, but that's what this season was always going to be. This is part of rebuilding process, and these type of games will give us a clue as to who to keep, who will be sold/let go.
In these wins (or defeats) we're shaping up, not really compeating, although, at our worst, I'd still fancy us to nick a cup here and there. Our club has never lost a way when it comes to getting a trophy and that speaks volumes.

I've alway found him quite fair on commentary.

You can almost hear his grin behind the microphone when United are getting beat. Him and Darren Fletcher together are even worse. Fletch must be a closet Liverpool fan, certainly an ABU.

He only ever agrees with the main commentator. Next time just notice how many times he agrees with "Yeah, yeah, yeah", he spends the majority of the game saying those 3 words in sequence.

I'm sure he's not a bad bloke, he comes across grand when he's among the pundits, but can't stand him and his smug scouse accent commentating on a game I'm trying to enjoy.

Not the FA cup, no, that is compulsory and payment is taken from your card automatically. I gave my tickets away last night, simply not worth watching currently.

The year we won the Europa League with JM, I was opted in. £898 for my season ticket and another £600 or so for cup tickets as we had two good cup runs. The football was not great either, so I can sympathise with you buddy.

Apart from the joy over the actual result, I took a strange comfort from the performance overall.
We looked sharp all over, except perhaps Martial, until he went on to the left wing (still think that's his best position), we kept up the pressure on a very resolute side, handled their danger players well, in particular once again it was Brandon Williams down the left-side, giving a composed display well beyond his years.
Matic and Fred made good use of the ball from midfield and Maguire and Lindelöf bossed the central areas.
The strangest thing of all was however; that I felt a lot more secure at the back with Romero in goal?
Through to next round, clean sheet, some good performances from our older players that complemented the running and energy of the others.

For once enjoyed the drive home.
