Not a single player playing well. Bruno has to drop all the way to the back line to receive the ball and carry it. We literally can't progress it any other way, because we don't have a midfield. Sabitzer is a ghost. Antony is just bad. Lindelof and Maguire are lucky West Ham can't finish to save their lives.

Doesn't really matter right now, but these are players we just can't rely in the long run, if we are looking to win anything. B team is bottom-half quality at best. The drop off is massive.

Not a surprise it's been dull with all these changes, what did people expect? I thought we'd probably be losing by half time after seeing the teamsheets tbh so happy enough. West Ham have been rubbish too despite playing basically their best 11. Casemiro and Rashford on should be enough to win this for us and I'd expect we'll see them quite early in 2nd half.

Feck Moyes, I mean, they aren't Newcastle scummy, but he's undoubtedly doing his boring park the bus shite boring football. Glad that dick was shipped out. Can't even imagine if he was still in charge. Desperate stuff.

Lindelof looks specially bad when partnered with Maguire. He look way better with Licha.

Watching McTominay hide for another 45 minutes against the worst team in the premier league makes me wanna throw up, but surely ETH will find a way to use him, when he should be sold for 10million to whoeever is willing to pay stupid money for a championship player like that. Embarrasing having to deal with this shit again.

I'm sure Ten Hag will get rid but right now Eriksen and DVB are injured and he obviously wants to rest Case and Fred before Liverpool game which is understandable

Mctominay has been decent. Don't know what some of you are talking about.

To be fair, with the amount of money we have spent in recent years, its pretty worrying to see a second string as average as this, and this isnt even a second string really, there are first teamers in this.

The knowledge we overpaid for average (average, not shit) players isn’t a revelation. I’m honestly unsure why people aren’t factoring this in at this point. What we’re they/we expecting.

The lack of goals without Rashford is extremely worrying.

Dalot, Harry and Scott been poor. Sabitzer been missing all half.

He had literally our best chance of the game which drew a very good save by their GK. Can only do what’s around him, especially when you’ve got a midfield partner that constantly never shows for the ball and two CB’s that are as slow as a week in jail when it comes to building attacks from the back.

So now we know why ETH doesnt rotate much.

McTominay is doing his usual hiding act and youd need to check the teamsheet to see if Sabitzer is playing.

They need to win this without Rashford coming on. ETH should make them play for their futures. What a joke. Why do we have to rely on Rashford for absolutely everything going forward. Let the man rest and earn your fecking wages!!!

Yes but hes barely been involved, hes a CM ffs he should be the most involved. You say mctominay does not show for the ball, but I bet hes had a lot more touches than Sabitzer.

An attack with Antony and Weghorst will always struggle to score goals. One can't score and the other can't create.

Very frustrating Sancho isn't available as this would have been a good game for him to play in. Its almost forced Garnacho to start and he always seems to be better coming off the bench.
Weghorst is good coming to the ball but I'm not sure I've every seen him beat a defender to any pass going towards goal. He can't get on the end of anything. I just assume people that want to keep him were full on Ole at the wheel.

Antony is genuinely terrible at everything you need from a winger at United. He is still getting the first season benefit but if he plays like this next season he won’t survive the home crowd
What i dont get about Antony is that Ten Hag managed him, you know its not like it was a gamble buy on a young player from a foreign league.
Antony reminds me a lot of Mata and his time here, doesnt do that much but just as people are going to turn on him, he scores a gaol.

Mctominay has been decent. Don't know what some of you are talking about.

He has given the ball away twice, a few decent moments in breaking play. Not doing enough to get on the ball deep but not helped by how slow the back 2 are moving it and Sabitzer being totally out of the picture.

Many of these players are not up to the level we need. A lot of low quality, we can't line up an alternative team without the quality dropping hugely.

The less said about that defensive core, the better. Once again they've shown why they're second choice. I know what to expect from the others in the backline, but Dalot has disappointed me massively. It's like he has regressed to pre-Ten Hag levels.

We're also outmatched physically. All 4 of our wide players are getting bullied out there. No quick passes from CBs and midfield, alongside Bruno making a mess of every opportunity, it has been a poor performance.

I'll give credit to Weghorst, he seems to be the only one who can match West ham physically and made some nice link up plays. Great save by DDG too, but he fecked up with a pass later on. One of Martinez or Casemiro needs to come on to get control of this game.

Don't agree at all. Maguire and Lindelof taking too long to release it.

    Malacia has been woeful. Hiding.

    Contradiction.

If Malacia has been hiding, then it makes it very hard for us to build play. We build with a 3 + 1, where one of the full backs or the 8 (Sabitzer) drops into the backline. Neither have done that. Sabitzer has been anonymous! As a result, we have found it hard to in the first phase.

No Fred no party, just imagine if it was Fred who would misplace the pass at 45 second of the game all of the keyboard warriors who don't do anything but puke in his performance thread would red hot to post some more shit regardless of how the game went..

Very underwhelming by him, but he wasn't really that dominant in midfield before, seems off pace for Premier league, obviously having hiding McTominay next to him never helps but perhaps it's time to impose on the game no? Fred covers 3 times more space than him abnd he spent few years next to useless Scott having good games. We need more aggression and itelligence despite the fact that this is probably the easiest opponent in the league to play at the moment with their prehistoric football.

He scored the winner against Barca last week and still we have to endure this shite

Been a decent half for me. We got into descent positions but clearly been playing on low tempo. No need to change anything just pick up the tempo.

Sabitzer, Weghorst, Lindelöf and to a lesser extent Antony were good. Garnacho needs to step it up. Maguire has been tragic and Dalot worryingly bad

Very poor last 30 mins there. No one in midfield showing for the ball, not that the cbs would play it through the lines anyway.

Don't agree at all. Maguire and Lindelof taking too long to release it.

    Malacia has been woeful. Hiding.
Also they're lucky Antonio is a shit striker otherwise we'd have been trailing due to their fault failing to read his run.

McTomminay has been awful. Hides and when he's on the ball he turns it over even when not pressed, just simple pass to teammates he gave away some.

Mctominay has been decent. Don't know what some of you are talking about.

I agree. For me he’s not been great, but he’s done some good things.

We’ve played with the same team most of the season when we’ve looked good. This is the flip side to developing a good first 11 and playing them every week.

He was photographed training in the Netherlands a couple of weeks after that. Could be wrong but think by that game - second to last one before the World Cup break - his programme had already been sorted and he was on his way to the Netherlands if he wasn't there already. Was he seen in training around those couple of weeks of games he was recorded ill for?
I think you may well be right regarding his programme. Not so sure about being seen in training, but his last appearance in a match day squad prior to the Villa league cup game was two weeks prior.

That's why I always have a chuckle when some people think we're in for major trophies this season. Yes we've done alright so far but you're not getting any major honors if your backup players are not performing or the drop in quality in this big.

He scored the winner against Barca last week and still we have to endure this shite

One goal doens't mean anything, if he's gonna keep underperforming, not trying to take on people, giving the ball back and sending the ball to the stands I don't care about one goal. Even Maguire can score one goal.

He should be way better and offer way more for what he costed.

Sabitzer, Bruno and McT are killing us. Weghorst is the best of the rest and CBS close second, with the rest looking disinterested or hungover.
