I'm sure Jose won't be happy about this game coming just 13 days after the Middlesbrough match. Could it not have been held off until Sunday to give our boys an extra night's sleep?

Your first post on this was a bit funny. Then it got boring. Now it is becoming scary how obsessed you are.

Go out more. Do something fun. Jose is not reading your posts.

    -----------DDG----------

    Beast-Bailly-Jones-Rojo

    -----Pogba---Fellaini----

    -Mkhi----Lingard--Martial-

    -----------Rashford-------

Subs: Romero, Smalling, Carrick, Mata, TFM

Prediction: 5-1 Rashford 2, Martial, Fellaini, Bailly

He's not even been playing for us? So yeah your're waffling, unless you're watching training sessions which you definitely haven't been.

His performances this season were below standard for him. I doubt he will start many games till the end of the season. You don't have to watch training sessions to realize that.

When he has he's been shit. People acting like he's played 2 games. But yes there probably is a reason why he's not playing too.

Is this the final game Zlatan is suspended for?

A must win, I'm afraid it will be "one of those games" once again. These guys are dangerous on corners, I believe they've scored the most goals in set-piece situations in the Premier League. Just don't commit stupid fouls in dangerous areas and if we take our chances we should beat them comfortably.

    De Gea
    Valencia Bailly Rojo Blind
    Pogba Fellaini
    Mata Mkhi Martial
    Rashford

Herrera commits the most fouls in dangerous areas, so his absence may be a blessing.

Dont want Pogba to start tbh, its a big game for us to get closer to top 4, we need serious players to get the job done. Similar line up to Boro please, pace and movement up front, stability in defence and direct players who dont fanny about on the ball in midfield.

With Smalling and Jones injured we don't have other options but to play Rojo and Bailly. Blind is an option but WBA are very good at scoring from set pieces, so we need CBs with good heading ability.

Wait, when did Smalling get injured? Only Jones is out. The rest are fine.

Smalling is fit, but your point still stands. Ideally we play Rojo.

Sorry guys I didn't know I had so much power.

Smalling missing this would be a blow considering West Brom’s ability on set pieces. Bailly has a lot of good attributes, but aerial ability is not one of them. Same with Rojo, who also has history in losing his men in set pieces.

Yup. Huge blow for us for set pieces. I think they've scored the most from set pieces and we've conceded the least so it'll be an interesting battle (though I imagine our stat is favoured by actually having Smalling in the side)

We played without Smalling in the away game. I really can't remember them having good chances against Rojo or Jones.

Assuming no Jones, Pogba, or Smalling...

    De Gea
    Bailly - Blind - Rojo
    Valencia - Carrick - Fellaini - Young
    Mkhi - Rashford - Martial

West Bromwich Albion Football Club (nicknamed West Brom, The Baggies, The Throstles, Albion or simply WBA) are a professional football club based in West Bromwich, West Midlands, and were founded in 1878 as West Bromwich Strollers, by workers of George Salter's Spring Works. They were renamed West Bromwich Albion in 1880, becoming the first team to adopt the Albion suffix.

West Brom were one of the founding members of The Football League in 1988, and have one League title win, 5 FA Cup wins, and one League Cup win to their name. Even though West Brom have spent the majority of their history in the top-flight of English football, when the FA Premier League was founded in 1992 the club found themselves in the third tier, and have negotiated periodic relegation-promotion oscillations to the Premier League ever since. West Brom play their homes games at The Hawthorns, and have long-standing rivalries with Aston Villa and Wolverhampton Wanderers.

    1988? Do you mean 1888?

So that's Jones, Smalling, Pogba, Herrera and Zlatan out for the next match. This game is going to be similar to the Middlesbrough game with a makeshift XI.

    De Gea
    Valencia Bailly Rojo Blind
    Fellaini Carrick
    Mata Mkhi Martial
    Rashford
Lingard and Young might play ahead of Martial and Blind. Both Rojo and Valencia will be playing on Tuesday in South America so ideally should be rested or out on the bench. But since we have no other options, I expect both to start. A scrappy 2-1 win would do just fine.

It's another of those games where the performance doesn't matter as long as we get the three points. It will be a battle so if we come through it with the right result I will be proud of them.

Absolutely. Even though Everton on Tuesday is a tougher opponent, I’m more confident about that as we’ve got a fresh Herrera and Zlatan coming back.

I'm now regretting predicting 3-1. It's gonna far uglier, I've realised. A 2-1 would be more fitting, or a 1-0 if we can somehow keep them from scoring from a set piece.

Home game against West Brom, has 1-1 written all over it. OT becoming more and more like a library is really killing our home form. Really wouldn't be suprised with a loss considering every set piece that goes against us seems to result in a free header and West Brom are the best at it.

    Valencia---Bailly----Rojo-----Blind
    ----------Fellaini-----Carrick------
    Mkhi------------Lingard----------Martial
    ---------------Rashford----------------
Think we will need Lingards legs through the middle to balance the sloths behind him. Sorry Mata.

Bogey team. Defiantly will expect the same display as yesterdays, Jose grinding games now.

WBA will be defiant, but I think we will be more defiant.
Statistically, this fixture is not usually a draw, but as its a home game, I think it will be a home win.

    DDG
    Valencia Bailly Rojo Blind
    Fellaini Herrera
    Lingard Mata Mkhitaryan
    Rashford

So WBA have a really good record against us, always anxious vs mid table teams like Wba, stoke, Fulham back in the day!

    United facing midfield crisis?
Jose Mourinho could face a midfield crisis if Marouane Fellaini is unavailable for the weekend visit of West Brom after he sanctioned Bastian Schweinsteiger’s transfer to Chicago Fire.

Paul Pogba suffered a hamstring injury during the Europa League win over FC Rostov less than two weeks ago and Ander Herrera will serve the second match of his two-game suspension at the weekend. Michael Carrick could be the only available senior midfielder.

Can't see anything else than a 1-1 as usually at Old Trafford.

WBA will park the bus and we don't have any players able to score and unlock defenses.

Don't forget that we also play Thursday at Anderlecht, Sunday against Chelsea and the next Thursday against Anderlecht again, so very important that we do our best on Saturday.

I'd try to play as much as fresh player on Saturday against WBA

Without Smalling and Jones, actually we won't play 6 at the back, so that's maybe a good news, so I'd play a very attacking team. And if Fellaini can't play this Saturday, we'll be in big trouble against them.

    -----------------------------------De Gea------------------------------------
    Valencia-----------------Bailly------------Rojo------------------------Shaw
    -----------------------------------Carrick------------------------------------
    Mata-----------------Mkhitaryan---------Lingard--------------------Martial
    -----------------------------------Rashford----------------------------------

So we've possibly got four of our tallest players out of this one, plus Jones. Mata marking Evans & co. on set pieces
