Lacklustre display, zero urgency and very little quality. Feels like a game in May when there is nothing to play for. I know we are missing a few players but that is no excuse. Really need get the tempo going in this game and take a bit of risk, these draws are killing us. Not one shot on target is not good enough against West Brom.

We've been here a lot this season, but most of the games we've wasted loads of chances.

Today, apart from a couple of real half chances we're not.

West Brom fans must suffer all season. All very noble just playing for the occasional set piece against much bigger teams, but very tedious to have so little ambition

Shockingly poor 1st half,0 shots on goal.
We dont seem to have a clue of what to do or how to break teams down.
Rashford,Mkhi and Martial must step up and do better

Why do people keep bringing up the Pulis tactics? What else have teams been doing for years coming to Old Trafford?

It's a rubbish excuse. I'm sure it is more difficult but that's what top teams do - they find a way.

Agreed. We've simply not been good enough

West Brom are so depressing though. This is a free hit so why not play some football and have a go

They're set up to frustrate us, they know we lack the ability to break teams down who sit deep and keep it narrow, we're very easy to play against and its potential an easy point for them.

Choosing Young at left back is bizarre given what West Brom are doing. It's helpful to have an intelligent full back (i.e. Blind). I understand Valencia is nailed on every match but we have two full backs who lack creativity. High crosses are unlikely to do much.

    Mourinho baffles me.

Have been proven wrong by Lingrad who has been our only genuine attacking threat. Carrick and Fellaini shoring up the midfield as well

But Mkhitariyan seems lost with the extra responsibility and Rashford is anonymous as usual when he starts.

Cant see us breaking them down unless both wake up.

Van Gaalish performance. All these teams knows what to do to get a point at OT these days. We need at least one player who can go past a man with ease. Martial should be that player, but he's nowhere close to where he was last season. It's a problem that should have been adressed a long time ago.

You know that you can scroll through the thread and find the post yourself?
You know the guy deleted it because it was a complete fail right?

    fecking smart arse

Personally I think we've moved the ball around better than in the last home draws. West Brom will tire if we keep it up.

All the attacking players are trying to play in the same space and it's not working. Jesse is the only one trying to make runs and find gabs. Our best player so far

Not much Jose can do about it. We just have to keep at it and try to break them down.

Van Gaalish performance. All these teams knows what to do to get a point at OT these days. We need at least one player who can go past a man with ease. Martial isn't doing it nowhere near enough this season. It's a problem that should have been adressed a long time ago.

It's Van Gaal's team. No Pogba and Zlatan to mask the poor attacking movement/plays.

I'm not liking the fact we still need to visit them. They're holding you all off pretty well so far.

What's amazing is that no matter what combination of Martial, Rashford, Mata, Mkhitaryan, Rooney, Zlatan, and Lingard we use, our attack is consistently shit at scoring goals. How do we manage that? Why is our attack so bad? It's doing my fecking head in.

Carrick takes about 4 touches before playing a pass, looks at the player he's going to pass it to, looks at his foot to angle it correctly, then slowly passes it...and it still bobbles horribly about 10 yards behind the person he's playing it to.

He does more to break up and slow down our attacks than the opposition do. Fellaini actually looks fast compared to him.

Although frustrating, I'm actually quite confident some half-time tweaks will give us the goal. I'm more concerned about their counter attacks and setpieces. I'm seeing a 1-1 draw right now.

Given up watching the game. Streams are dead and I don't think I'll be missing much.

We simply have to many average at best players on the pitch. No manager will get this lot playing good football.
I think Jose knows the depth of the squad needs strengthening. I will be happy if we snatch a 1-0 and then get Ibra and Herrera back for Everton.

As I have said earlier I work almost exclusively with West brom fans and they are not happy even though they might equal their highest finish in recent years. They're bored to death many of their long term season ticket holders have not brought season tickets for this season because of how negative they are.

Predicted 0-0 for this, looking like the easiest result to call all season.

Mike Dean can do one, he's falling for all of WBA's time wasting.

    Incompetent prick.

Hate him with passion. Calls inadvertent handball on us then doesnt remain consistent.

As for the game we just need to take a bit more risk. Even if it opens us up a little it might get them opened as well. Like at the end there we had a chance to just go at them and let them reset and after that we put a cross in that was easy enough for them. To deal with

We need to use the width more. Lingard and Martial need to hug the touchline, which will 1) stretch a compact West Brom team 2) allow us to create 1v1's down the wing.

At the moment, it is very predictable.

You would expect Carrick to do that and he isn't.

    Top 4 is long gone.
Can't really say it's long gone when it's still technically in our hands. But we draw far too many and I can't see that changing. All eggs should go into the Europa basket.
