Mourinho knew the team's weaknesses. But goggly-eyed Eddy Woody wanted to show how smart he could be. If Mourinho leaves, we are in for yet another rebuild. Let's just call ourselves Liverpool now.

Bailly and Lindelof had a mare at Brighton. Smalling and Jones are having a mare against Spurs. Why can't we just admit our CBs are shite?

Because they’re not, ask Ed

    sign 14 players January

    Ftfy

We were playing well up until the defence went AWOL

Yeah but its Joses fault obviously.

Sacking Jose wouldn't change anything. What's rotten about our club - and it is looking rotten - goes way deeper. Until there is an internal shift in the running of the club, and the incentives of our board, it'll just be eat, drink, repeat.

I'm fecking bored to death of this shite.

Exactly, yes Jose hasn’t got the best out of the players but Ed has fecked us right up.

    He has to go.

We losing 3-0 ffs at home. This isn’t playing well. It’s slightly better than Brighton.

This result is just the end results from having no player improvement/developement over many years, no attacking play, having a CEO that thinks he is a football expert and refuses to sell players not wanted by the manager etc.

The club is rotten. Changing the manager is just a short fix. There is something fundamentaly wrong with how this club is governed. And as long as this stays the same we will never challange for the league title.

Delighted with the result - thought we were not great in the first half but totally dominated the second half and were ruthless up front. Very happy.

I will NEVER understand why we fecked up our transfer window. We should have signed more players and we should have sold more. This is self inflicted.

    The problem is NOT Mourinho.

    It's fecking Woodward!

Exactly this. That's what makes it unacceptable. I just don't get it. It really doesn't make sense to not build on last season .It send the wrong message to the fans. It's not like the team is untouchable and beyond strengthening. It tells us all he doesn't back Miurinho in which case what the feck is he doing in the dugout!!!!!?

    The Toxic One

    They weren't all shite again.
Lukaku should have scored with an empty net and it would have been a different story.
Shaw and Fred were good tonight.
Shaw and Fred were good yeah but what does that matter? The rest were shite. Just because Lukaku was probably the worst doesn’t make it all his fault

Anyway, I’m not wasting my energy on defending anyone in red tonight. Was a fecking joke, again.

The problem we have is that ED Woodward is the guy who decides who we sign, that has become evident. Jose said he feels more like a head coach. We need to get rid of that damn Woodward guy, he fecks up all of our transfer windows, he has no clue about football and did not sign any of the players that Jose asked for. He signed Fred, probably thought he would be cheap as he thought we already had Fred the Red. Then he signed a goalkeeper from Stoke and a young Portugeese defender. Guys here is the truth... United are now just a cash cow for some American Business men. The club is fecked, it will get even worse. Just have patience. Do not blame Jose, even though his football has been very dire. He has not been backed by the club, We now have 5 owners, all of them need their cash think about it ...

    M
JM changed tactics from last week and we dominated the first half and should of been 1-0 up. Individual errors cost us tonight. That’s not Jose’s fault, thats piss poor players like Jones, Smalling and Lindelof!
    Mourinho signed Lindelof.

That reaction at the end from Jose spoke loads,he knows the situation is becoming untenable

If it were another top club it would likely be his goodbye but I doubt it

My nephew was at the match. He just texted me that the match-going fans are behind Jose by and large and are blaming Woodward.
What, the bloke sat next to him is? It’s not as if match goers are the same type of fan, they all hold their own opinions through watching the same stuff as anyone else in the world.

I say get rid of both Woodward and Mourinho. Enough is enough.

Battle of wills if you ask me; Woodward and Jose. Only going to be one winner there.

Absolutely and predictably,Woodward's position is never seriously gonna be under threat until the money stops flowing in

Woodward has his faults. but it's not his job to coach the team. That's Mourinho's, and he has a team full of internationals, and 400M worth of signings. He still can't get a decent performance out of them. 65M pent on Centerbacks, but still doesn't have a decent one. The manager has been heavily supported, but what he wants is a blank cheque and complete autonomy. You're only going to get that at PSG and City for the money, and even there won't have complete autonomy.

No, the man has to start doing some actual coaching. His squad might be short of his ideal, but he should be getting so much better out of what he has. So much better. The sooner he goes, the better.

Com'on now, that's as biased as it gets.

The back four that we had when Jose arrived was a ferguson back four, Valencia, Jones, smalling and young. and you call 6OM£ spent on two center back a lot ? it would be a lot for fecking West Ham, not for us. city, our main competitor spent that on Laporte alone, and he is warming their bench.

Pep spent almost 200 millions on Stones, Mendy and Walker when he already had Otamendi (40M£) from the previous season. when he wanted one more defender after spending 200M£, they got him Laporte for 67M£. and you're fecking telling us that 60 millions for two center backs is enough and you want Jose to be competitive with that shit !

The state and the hypocrisy of our fecking fans.

This nonsense that it is about a poor transfer window is just that. Nonsense.

We were convincingly beaten by a side that bought NOBODY during the summer.

And finished below us last season

You must hold the record in green smiley's used on this forum. But that's a way to communicate as well, I guess.

My keyboard doesnt work, only mouse, so can only click on emotes, thats why. Now when you know the reason, stop being weirdo and count my emotes usage.

Well that was a second half shit show. The blame can go around as much as it likes, but the only other plan we ever have and we always use when we're trailing is to put Fellaini on the pitch. Unlucky with some of our chances, and a collective collapse but I do think it all falls to Jose. The fact that he wasn't backed by Woodward is one thing, but not having any other outlet than using Fellaini when we're trailing is too obvious. Spurs did well to exploit our defensive errors but I really don't think lasting a bit more than 45 minutes is something to be proud of. I think Jose will be sacked, if it will be better or worse one cannot know, but anything other than this would do for me.

Our midfield is going to have to do a better fecking job at winning the ball back. Between Pogba, Fred, Perreira, Lingard and Fellaini they won 2 tackles against Brighton with 2 interceptions. That is appalling.

Tottenham have had a very good start to the season so will be on a high going into this game. I don't think they'll embarrass us, but they'll dominate possession and cause us lots of problems, we'll have to hit on the break and hope our attackers are on it.

Our attackers weren't on it. :(

Don't have to count them. They stand out quite a bit.
