The only word I can think of to describe that first half is interesting. Both teams have lacked quality but I wouldn't say either team are playing poorly. Both teams are giving it a go but neither look like being able to do anything.

Mkhi definitely needs substituting. He's offering absolutely nothing defensively or in attack. I think Mata, Martial, Lingard or even McTominay would offer us more.

This is the result of prioritising physical attributes over technical in recruitment. We struggle to move the ball quicker than our men.
I see this as the sort of game where we will struggle to score even if Spurs go down to 10, and struggle to see us opening them up with any team play second half. Will be a mistake or brute force. No guile without Pogba.One shot on goal. That's not nothing...For how shite we've been, not really getting Sky's praise for Spurs. Almost as bad.That was really bad. Tottenham play ok away from home without some of their worst players, we look like Everton. We have created absolutely nothing against a good team yet again, there just isn’t any creativity. I wouldn't go as far to say we've been outplayed, it's just been a very dull affair all round. Spurs have hardly set the game alight. The worry is if they do turn it up second half...Why does Jose never give mata a go at 10?
Mhiki loses the ball over and over whereas at least mata has control of play. Also people need to stop blaming ander the guy is everywhere and is outnumbered in the middle yet he is still far more involved than matic who has given the ball away yet hasn't been involved in breaking up play.Predictably woeful.At this rate, can't see either team scoring a goal.
It is the two best defenses in the league. It is not easy to do anything. Both teams have defended very well. A bit disappointed that Lukaku and Mkhitaryan letting us down once they get space and chances to do something.- Status
