    Good 1st half.
Hope to see Mata on very soon.
And we need a 2nd goal for sure , so no sitting back please

    We're playing well.

Mkhi is top class, Herrera beasting it as usual, Pogba is starting to control the middle, and Carrick is providing good cover. Zlatan making himself known as well.

Unfortunate about Martial, seems like he's lacking confidence or something. I'd leave him on though.

Looking back at silly mistakes that have cost us games we should have won, I am very wary that we don't seem to have much control of the game.

With players like Zlatan, Mkhi and Pogba we will of course be doing better in the final third. But players have to be cautious before we make it to the final third and be a little less adventurous with the passes in between the lines. Tottenham are winning fair bit of second balls and their player look very comfortable with explosive running and close control of driven passes today. I don't like how Pogba, Martial and co are trying to set up a counter when they should really be clearing the ball and try to keep the ball off of them when we do have possession in safer situations. I would put Mata on for Martial just for the sake of having someone who can pass around better in tight spaces and when being closed down.

How did the referee did not saw that Walker on Pogba faul? A good positioned freekick just before the break…

People are being way to negative. This has been an excellent performance against a good team.

We've made them look very average up front and have made the best defence in the league look very ordinary.

Martial has been a bit wastefull but he's held the flanks well, been direct in his running and has them very nervous over there, creating space for others to exploit.

Rojo, Carrick, Herrera, Valencia and Mkhey have been outstanding.

Push on now in the second half and don't sit back. There's a good win here if we have the balls to go for it.

I was complaining as I expect a good performance from Rojo. I've just given up on Darmian.
I know it's awful to stereotype but he's an Italian defender, who can't keep his position. It's mind boggling.

It's incredibly frustrating, he gets dragged out of position too easily and I have no confidence in him winning a 1v1 on that left side. Depressing.

Also...that facial hair. Not good. Like a poor Robbie Burns.

Martial from an attacking sense has been subdued and I have explained why I think this is in another post but I think that Martial has been vital from a defensive sense because he has been playing high up the pitch meaning Walker hasn't been able to make his attacking runs as freely...

Doesn't help when he's got not overlap help from full back

    Starting to dislike Gary Neville.

He makes stupid sly digs at United in an effort to sound not biased towards us but is in reality acting like an ABU.

Stuff like saying he didn't see how Carrick's shot took a deflection (even though Spurs didn't contest), or the Herrera "foul" on Eriksen.

    He's becoming really annoying.

Refs should have to explain decisions, just don't understand what they see in some instances...would be interesting to hear their perspective

Be nice to get a 2nd very soon to settle the old nerves

Our problems have been showing again. We have had a few chances where better players might have converted but we have ended up blazing over the bar hitting it straight at the keeper and we have sat off after scoring again.

We have held good spells in the first half. A bit of positivity and we could win this by 2 or 3.
Better than Pogba and Zlatan? Who could we realistically have got that's better? You can't expect every chance to be a goal.

Agreed with most of the comments on Martial and how Walker is doing a good job on him...BUT at the same time, even in this iffy form and poor decision makings, Martial is making Walker think twice about going forward too. Rashford for him would seem like the obvious choice but Martial is a bit more involved with the play and thus keeps Walker on his toes; I'd be worried about bringing on Rashford and then Walker finds himself with more opportunities to overlap or attack Darmian :p

    Walker.

He's making Martial rush his thoughts because Walker is faster than Martial AND a good defender.

Can't outpace Walker and that makes Martial confused. He needs to add more strings to his bow.

In all honesty, we need to really step up because if we allow Spurs into this game, I'm confident that José will revert to bring on the Fellaini-bit!

No idea how that Walker challenge on Pogba wasn't called. He literally kciks his chest

Very true. Apparently Pellegrini used to love Navas at Man City for the same reason, he would always push the opposition LB backwards because it's too risky to leave him free when attacking themselves.

I hope Fellaini isn't brought on in the last 15 minutes which helps Spurs equalize. :(

Sky just came back from an ad break, only to advertise what they have coming up and then went back to another ad break.

Can't believe they expect people to pay for this shit.

I don't really see any negativity? Just people saying we need a second goal to avoid past mistakes.
