    So Rooney in the striker role again. Will be interesting to see whether he will get close to scoring. Maybe one or two half chances?

    United team to face Swansea: De Gea, Young, Jones, Smalling, Blind, Schneiderlin, Schweinsteiger, Mata, Herrera, Martial, Rooney.Subs: Romero, Darmian, McNair, Carrick, Pereira, Fellaini, Memphis.
     
    Jones? He's been rubbish when he's played and means we're gonna be forcing Smalling to the left
     
    Pretty much our strongest first XI. Can't complain a peep about that team.
     
    Darmian instead of Blind, Herrera playing in a midfield two with Schneiderlin and Memphis instead of Mata. Ddg Darmian Smalling Jones Young Memphis Schneiderlin Herrera Martial Rooney Rashford would be my team
     
    Our best team considering the long-term injuries.

    Just need the performance to go with it.
     
    Shucks. Replaced Young with Darmian an hour ago in my predictions. Oh well. Will be looking for better from Jones, Schneiderlin and of course Rooney. If that is our strongest lineup and we still can't beat Swansea at home CONVINCINGLY...then we are well and truly fecked !
     
    That's a good team but it is possible we will consistently launch a good fast flowing move and get into a dangerous final third position only for Rooney to slow it down and lose the flow.

    If Rooney performs to a good level though, it will be like playing with 11 men.
     
    Alright, decent enough I guess, I don't really have any major complaints. Everything just depends on how we play rather than the actual line-up. We've changed the line-up many times this season, but never the approach to the game.

    That's a weird team, three strikers in what I presume to be a 4-2-3-1?
     
    Happy with that team. Hard to know what type of performance to expect but I'm optimistic.
     
    Memphis is lucky to even make the bench based on what he's shown since arriving.

    Needs to show something, he clearly isn't a bad footballer, quite the contrary, but he just hasn't produced.
     
    In order to score we need our players to constantly keep moving and roaming from their positions, it's as simple as that.

    Rooney has been showing some form, and martial is dangerous down the left, and with Mata and and Hererra, we've got a decent side.
    Shweinsteiger's back, and the defense isn't so decimated. Got a feeling we're gonna thrash someone soon, and it could be today.
    Maybe the doom and gloom around here might lift a bit.

    It would make the least sense in that Smalling and Blind are solid, and moving Blind to a position he was shocking at recently to accommodate calamity Jones is ridiculous.

    Hopefully it's Jones RB where he can do the least damage.

    He surely would be. If we lose that would be the consolation.

    Most likely we win 1-0 or something, and he saves his job and the dire football is going nowhere.

    All that aside 3 points would be good.
