Why are we sticking with AWB on the left and Dalot right? Dalot is way more versatile and AWB is a much better RB than LB. I feel like some of the penalties we've given away recently have been a result of AWB having to tackle from the wrong side for him - Liverpool being the prime example.

I don't like AWB there at all either, but I'd guess that Dalot is on the right because it gives the team one whole crossing threat

Finally eriksen gets a start over Mctominay.

Not sure if that's a good or bad thing, Eriksen looks like his legs are gone and gets bullied now in midfield.. Scott is just utter crap so both cancel each other out.

Because ten hag is never wrong, the players need to adapt.

    It really is baffling!

At least Antony isn’t on the bench to come on instead of Amad. Should guarantee that he actually gets minutes in this game eh.

United are at home versus by far the worst team in the league and still ETH can't give Amad a start.

I don't want to hear anyone in a couple of months talk about Amad not taking his chances. It's utter bullshit. Imagine scoring the winner against Liverpool in an impressive cameo and then someone telling you that he wouldn't get a single start as a result.

    Meritocracy my ass.

Its sheffield. And ten hag is using antony presumably because he traclks back better. Because going forward Amad is the better player.

That mindset is why he has failed here, and always will.

Why does it has to come to this. I am actually starting to dislike the stubborn bastard.
Has it really worked out so far?
    No.
Why not change things up a bit?
    NO! HEEEEEEEEEEH

Amads better at tracking back it seems too.

Don't agree with Antony starting but he actually hasn't been as bad as the media are making out and some fans are falling for it. We really are down to the bear bones. Hope we can win this somehow.

But Amad is really good tracking back, though. This was one of the reasons we even beat Liverpool in the first place.

    Is Amad injured?

Edit: Sorry just seen him on the bench. Sigh. EtH will be the death of me.

Antony over amad again... Never change ten hag, never change. In the face of all logic and evidence, he remains stubborn as feck to not admit he fecked up. God has he turned into a problematic manager

You can't keep picking Rashford and refusing to sub him, and then use "not tracking back" as an excuse not to pick other players.

Antony really doesn't start very often?

Expect Wilder to have his team set up to be uber-physical so am sure we'll have a few more injuries

Not sure if I'm relieved or annoyed this game isn't on TV.

Team doesn't exactly look inspiring. Then again it's Sheffield United. BUT then again it's us.

Yeah but also it’s Sheffield United

If they were playing away to Maidstone United, I wouldn’t be totally sure they’d win. United will remain shite and lose a few more this season, but not today

It really isn’t. Dalot is far more versatile and helps us move the ball out from the back by coming inside into midfield. AWB cannot do that.

Both are equally bad at being left backs and given away penalties- so I guess that outweighs things in a way that AWB plays out of position.

I heard it's because Amad said "good night" leaving training, rather than "good evening".

Michael Oliver on VAR. So anything that gets reviewed will go to Sheffield United. Should be beating them anyway mind.

    1. United has a decent, young winger
    2. He plays some games and does ok
    3. He scores the winner against arch rivals in important game
    4. Relegated to bench with very little playing time as a reward.
    5. Becomes disgruntled
    6. Asks to leave
    7. Transferred at very competitive price and shines elsewhere
    8. Buying club makes 500% return on investment.

    The United way.

Some credence to claims that Wilcox has asked him to start playing possession football starting today?

McTominay dropped, Eriksen in. Antony in (that one might have been forced)

Except Eriksen should offer us more possession and control. He won’t run around like an headless chicken.

Wonder what Garnachos reactions like when he gets subbed off. I mean every time he’s been brought of when we’ve been winning we go on to lose or draw. Conceding late goals

Were people really expecting Amad to start? He was always going to pick Antony before him. He has consistently done that when both have been available.
