    Very frustrating 45 mins.

    We get a goal disallowed when they scored a one which was very similar in which the GK was very weak coming off his line to take charge.

    Other than that, our play in the final 3rd is just so damn slow. That Sheffield Utd defence hasn’t even had to break a sweat. Everything is just so static in front of them.

    Get Cavani on!!
     
    Woeful performance.
    Why drop Cavani. Martial is so off form he should have given Cavani a run. a better striker all round. He needs to change it round from the start of second half not leave it till the last 15 minutes.
     
    If that wasn't a foul on soft hands then it was never ever a foul on Maguire.

    Get Matic off with his constant side passing and get Cavani on asap.

    Yeah Harry does have a terrible habit of just accepting borderline decisions which really needs to stop. He should have pushed for the official to go and look at that decision rather then done nothing
     
    Awfully worried that Axel will get a red in the second half, he needs to come off. At the same time we need Shaw, Cavani, and Fred to come on..
     
    Well that was as bad as I’ve seen post SAF. And that is saying something!

    We look half asleep. I’m not sold on Tuanzebe. De Gea is the most pitiful coward ever to play for the club. Matic is so slow it hurts. Martial’s game was over when he got that early knock, towel went in straight away. Rashford isn’t effective against the low-block. Greenwood doesn’t know how to play that inside forward role, completely wasted just constantly turning backwards and passing to AWB. Bruno is playing far, far too deep and needs to move twenty yards up the pitch. Telles isn’t half as good at carrying the ball as Shaw and usually resorts to throwing a cross in to nobody in particular.

    I don’t know how we turn this around, so many things wrong in that first half. Sheffield Utd look absolutely god-awful and we haven’t had a shot in anger.

    Ole will be livid with that, it really, really was so bad it’s almost unbelievable.
     
    I've yet to see an impressive display from Telles. Don't know where this wand of a left foot comes from, must be a myth.
     
    I thought Telles was supposed to be an offensive beast when we signed him ? Maybe it is just that he hasn't played much but he doesn't look great offensively. Or at all, really.

    Wan Bissaka again struggling without proper support in front of him. I don't think he is bad offensively, he just needs someone to link up with and he doesn't get it.

    Martial has done very little, looks so far off his game.

    Ref an absolute joke. Ridiculous, inconsisten reffing again.

    Normally, I would back us to come back and win this but we don't look great today. I feel like we will come out revved up though so I hope we can get one in the net early. If we do, I think it will be game over for them. Cavani is needed.
     
    Well constantly conceding soft goals and forcing ourselves to come from behind was always going to catch up to us sooner or later and it's going to take a 180 in the level of performance to pull this one out. Sheff Utd have worked their tails off so it we can finagle a goal somehow then hopefully it would cause them to drop their heads a little bit but we're going to have to offer something different because barring one or two moments they've looked comfortable enough.
     
    Sharp nudged DeGea before Sheffield United goal any different than the nudge Maguire gave for the disallowed goal?

    Major improvement needed for Man United 2nd half, most of the possession but have barely tested their keep 1st half.

    No tempo, no movement, Bruno needs to just keep making those runs off the shoulder like he was at the beginning. One of them will work out. Don't see the point in having both Matic and Pogba back.

    I'd be tempted to sub Tuanzebe off and put Matic back there, get Van Der Beek in or something.
     
    Shaw has to come on at half time, Telles just ain't no where near as good and he was meant to be the attacking LB we were crying out for :rolleyes:

    I think we need Shaw on. We have absoutely nothing coming from wide areas. With Wan Bissaka's continual rabbit in the headlights when making forward runs, there is nothing other than predictable sideways passing from Telles on the other flank. We need players who can take a guy on. Shaw give you all that. Crucial cog in a lopside team.
     
    Time for Cavani I think. Switch rashford out right take Greenwood off. 1st goal against these teams is always key, gives them something to hold onto. Still think we'll win tbh just need to get out of second gear

    Basically this. We're never going to win enough games if we play like this every game. It's just not realistic, we can't grind out a win every week.

    If we can't comfortably beat these types of teams at home, it's not looking good for any faint title hopes we have.
     
    It's a shame we can only make 3 subs.

    Telles looks lost on that left hand side, almost anonymous. Martial simply isn't producing again. We've been carrying him for too long

    Can we risk 3 subs at half time?

    Martial is actually killing attacks. I realise that one of the problems he has is that he tries to start moves even in moves where its already started. Can't understand how anyone can group him and rashford. rashford makes things happen, martial just exists.
     
    The difference between City and United’s tactical, attacking drilling is huge. With City there is a plan for every player, a role for all situations... with United it’s just 11 players that are all better than the other players, doing their thing, playing with adrenaline and joy. This first half was no tactical approach, no joy. The second half will obviously see us winning against an atrocious side, purely because they will now go deep having the lead and United will start to play with instinct and adrenaline. Seen it a thousand times before.... why can’t we just steamroll a crap team from the first minute?

    Get Shaw and Cavani on. Martial needs a long time on the bench. Dreadful performance. Also Tuanzebe needs to learn how to head the ball. Not the first time he is struggling in the PL because of that.

    Haha. I think it's the secretly hoping we'll win the league but trying not to care too much and just talk about good football and top 4. And then the shittiest team in the league arrives at OT and we look like we can't score and the title dream (that we dare not acknowledge) looks crushed.
