I'm very excited for this. Champions League Baby!!!

Gone 1-0 to United. But to be honest a 1-1 wouldn't surprise me. I can see United scoring first and then just defending.

We could blow them away about 5-0 if we wanted to though.

Home game, our home form is formidable, we are generally playing very well...

Can't see past a resounding United win. I will go with 3-0.

Biggest game of our season. We need to progress. It would be an absolute disaster if we lost at this stage and to Seville.

To those going - make lots and lots of noise! We need all the support, we need to win AT ALL COSTS.

Another home game consecutive.

Having Fellaini back for CL games is a darn nice option to have, they're not so used to playing against big tall towering physical good player with specialized role.

 Come on United!

Nerves and excitement. Boils my piss that we need to win whereas Sevilla don't. We really should be smashing these by a few especially when weaker teams in Valencia and Atletico have gone their and beat them - on their own patch at that - since we last played them. We're at home so I have faith we can see it through.

They are toothless up top, I think we'll grind them down and get a couple of goals. It'll probably be the same line-up as today although I'd play Lingard over Sanchez and I think Lindelof will come in for Bailly as he's probably not ready for two games in such close succession.

Presume Pogba and Martial won't be ready as it's such a short turnaround time?

Expecting a fairly similar team to today if not, with maybe Lindelof coming in for Bailly if he has a knock or can't play two games so quickly after his comeback.

I would put Fellaini instead of McTominay and one of Pogba or Sanchez, Rashford should keep his place.

De Gea

Valencia Bailly Smalling Young/Shaw
Matic Fellaini
Mata Alexis/Pogba Rashford
Lukaku
We'll have a lot of corners and having Fellaini there would be devastating.

If we want a two man midfield then this:

De Gea
Valencia Bailly Smalling Young/shaw
Matic Pogba
Mata Alexis Rashford
Lukaku

@Mr H
No MaTominic?
But yes, Fellaini is a very good option. Not sure if he's fully match fit to start games though. As does Pogba, whom I believe will recover just in time for this Sevilla game, but I think no reason to rush him too early, don't want him to get injured back again.

We must start fast like we did today but also kill the game and tie in the first half imo. We simply can not afford to enter the final minutes of the game with only 1 goal advantage. We may not find another Guidetti against us this time.

Biggest game of the season. We need to be getting to the quarters and stamping our mark on a decent club in the next round to show that we’re still a team to be reckoned with. There’s no fecking point in qualifying otherwise. Like Arsenal in recent years.

This is gonna be a draw and we’re gonna go out on away goals. Kills me to say it but maybe I’ve just jinxed it.

De Gea
Valencia Bailly Lindelöf Young
Matic McTominay
Sanchez Mata Rashford
Lukaku

That’s what I’d pick. But I think Smalling, Lingard and Fellaini have a good chance of being in. And maybe Pogba if he’s back.

Part of me thinks Pogba was never injured and is saved for this match.
Thinks He'll be given a specific role to play. We'll see.

I think Alexis needs to realize that he can't dribble past 3 players or run past them and score. I still think he should be included ahead of Lingard because he can still pick a better pass/cross than Lingard but only if he cuts out the frequency he loses the ball.

We're so strong at Old Trafford that we have to fancy ourselves, but I have horrible feeling that if we aren't clinical enough we will end up going out in a score draw.

If there are to be any changes, Pogba would come in for Mata or Alexis. If Alexis is to be in a 433 for us, I do not see why he just can't be asked to play on the right? He can't be terrible there and he hasn't done enough yet to warrant displacing Rashford/Martial from the left or to nail down the no.10 position.

Obviously though, we might as well just go with the same starting XI and hopefully have a bench including Shaw, Fellaini, Pogba, Lingard and Martial if we need to change it.

SUBS - Fellaini (McTominay), Mata (Rashford), Lingard (Sanchez).

Man United 2 - 0 Sevilla
Lukaku, Lingard.

Most excited I’ve been for a game in ages. I really wish Sanchez can finally arrive at this club, produce a proper world class performance. Needs Pogba as well I feel.

I’d leave Pogba out for this if he’s nursing an injury. We proved yesterday he’s not vital if Jose picks the right squad and tactics. Still have the FA Cup and most likely CL QF to play for.

Nor Pogba plays the #10 position nor Sánchez the rightwing.

This will be a very nervy game. We need to go 2 clear by 60 odd mins.

I'm afraid so. We'll need nerves of steel for this. Unless we quickly brush them aside, like Liverpool. Not sure if most of the team has it, though.

Sevilla are terrible away. I rather think it will be easy.
Maybe, but the result they had at Anfield would sent us crashing away from the competition. Not to mention they dumped Atlético away out of the Copa del Rey.

Its less so their quality that worries me but more the situation and how nervy the stadium is going to get as the game goes on if we're not sitting on a 2 goal cushion.

If Sevilla play as they did at Afield then this will be a comfortable win for us.

Not if we play as we did in Sevilla.
Sevilla will be worse though, they'll fall a level because that's what they do when they're away from home.
We could play the same way and grind out a boring win. We shouldn't be overly confident but there's no need to talk them up to a level that they're clearly not capable of.
I thought he was pretty bad. He didn't create or score any chances and was generally ineffective the entire match. Sure, the effort was there, he ran around a lot and attempted to get into the match, but ultimately, it was a futile performance from him. I expect more from a player of his stature.

It's funny you mention the 2nd half, in which United as a whole were completely ineffective. Like I said earlier, Sanchez is a world class talent, but he hasn't show it yet at all since his transfer. I wouldn't drop him, but I do expect more from him. Look at Lukaku, who had a mostly quiet match, but his 2 contributions both ended up in goals. Sanchez just hasn't had any sort of impact just yet.
Off the top of my head he created a clear chance for Mata's overhead kick and was involved in at least 2 decent openings created in the 1st half alone.

This is a Champions League tie, with that mentality we won't go anywhere. Besides, Sevilla have indeed won their last two La Liga away games.

I don't particularly think ignoring how poor they've been because they've won two games just to scare ourselves adds anything to a CL mentality.
In the cold light of day, we are phenomenal at home while they are terrible away.
I just hope you can enjoy the game from behind your sofa!

We're getting too nervy about this game that I'm actually starting to believe it will turn out to be easier than what we are predicting.

I hope you can enjoy it too, now that you already forgot Celta de Vigo's game at OT.
