My expectation is that a midfielder or two should be there to stop it, but it seems like we're allowing that play because we have three CBs to defend the centre and the wing backs can get back. It's worked that way so far anyway

Yes. His skill and brain are still immense. But stamina is almost gone. A perfect impact player, imho.
Doing something good doesnt mean you're brilliant. You need consistancy and reliability. He's been better today, its not just one good thing he's had a couple of good runs and contributions although like Bruno he would have been in if he could have had a better first touch on a ball through, but it wasnt the easiest on. 83% pass accuracy and dispossessed 0 times, 1 unsafe touch. Much better so hopefully he carries on in the 2nd half to make it a good performance. If he can get a shot on target it will help, 1 effort so far that didnt hit the target.
He's made 3 excellent passes. Those aside he's been poor, giving away a lot of sloppy possession and getting played around too easily when they have the ball.Poor start but good performance ever since Bruno made it 1-1. Heaven started shaky but got better as half progressed imo. Thought maybe we should get Lindelof on instead of Heaven for 2nd half but perhaps he earned 2nd half towards the end of first period.
De Ligt on yellow could be a problem. Ugarte, Collyer and Eriksen are solid options from the bench given Casemiro's been playing all minutes in the last 3 games. Hojlund is having a decent game but can't score yet.Will we see Casemiro giving way for Ugarte at some point?- Status
