His moments on the right were all screamers from range which are unsustainable and many good moments came when he drifted inwards. He's a striker playing on the wing. It's hard to learn the position so it takes time of course, but he's not a right winger at all. He isn't a threat ever. He doesn't create for others when he's there, he doesn't create for himself, when we put him there we are essentially banking on a goal from range, hard work and tidy in position and nothing else. He's just not a right winger at all and its why the majority of the time when he's played there he is pretty much invisible and has no impact.
When you can see the talent of a player but they aren't doing anything with it or in areas that matter, it's usually down to not using them properly. This. I would argue he's has improved. Some of his passing and crossing has been brilliant lately.
No doubt his goals have dried up but that happens throughout players careers. Just ask Martial. He is only 19. He's still ridiculously young and he has so much talent for a kid his age.Martial is awful.
