Mata and Sanchez warming up on the pitch during the break. Looks like Martial will be coming off too :( The Frenchman didn't look right after that injury in the first-half.
Glad I'm in the US, my brother just told me he's got McMananman in the UK

Martial has been poor, but PSG have defended that left side really, really well and hes had no space to operate in.
Yeah they've done a good marking on him. It's actually one of the first times we've looked better on the right than the left.

We're better away than at home. Lingard and Rashford needs more space to thrive. We also need to move the ball quicker in the defense to get through that first line of pressing.

I'd read that Neymar would be fit for the 2nd leg but if not, Cavani is a big worry up front alongside Mbappe. Hopefully Ole can change things around a bit and sharpen up our play from midfield going forward. Pogba is having a quiet game and needs to step up a gear.
    Maybe he will, hopefully no.

We're giving them too much respect, and that is holding us back. Instead of the usual pass and run, there is the extra second we take to ensure we're making the right pass and not giving it away. More afraid of making a mistake than motivated to draw one. Perhaps it's the smarter thing to do, but it's not what I wanted to see.

Martial has underwhelmed for me. I know he's being marked out, but he needs to move more, make the extra run, apply more pressure. He's too static for my liking, and that is killing our options down the left. We do not have any option in attack given their disciplined defending. Rashford has had Lukaku-esque touches and Pogba bar that run has been surrounded heavily to limit his runs.

PSG are being snidey cnuts going down too easily and theatrically at every touch - they are a bunch of fannies and divers after all. Mbappe and Draxler are looking good, though, and Di Maria is trying too hard. Verratti is being allowed the time and space to dictate the midfield - he's too good a player for that.

Hoping for more movement from our forwards in the second half, and more cojones going forward. Their defence is slow and on a yellow, we can get at them if we counter effectively. I'd take a goalless draw, but a goal would be brilliant. Conceding here would be catastrophical.

We must remember we're playing PSG, they're an excellent team. Not sure why some think we should be battering them.

Martial and Lingard being off is a disaster but hopefully Sanchez can step up finally.

Wonder how we would be faring by half-time under the miserable one.

2-0 down and preparing to pass the bus in the second half. He then would have come out in the press conference after saying that we should be pleased because we have never managed to avoid conceding 9 goals in a match against PSG in Europe, ignoring the fact that we have never fecking played them before.

This tie is 180 minutes at the very least. People must relax a bit. Onwards and upwards. Come on United.
What you on about? It's 0-0 after 45 minutes. PANIC!!

Why would PSG be better and not us?
Plus the apprehension of conceding an away goal could lay heavy on their heads.
I think that's a reason why we're taking more touches with less movement tonight.
    Wait and see I suppose.
    Emphasize on ’a lot better’...

Bringing on Mata doesn't seem like the right move. We need more pace and width and he's probably going to slow it down a bit

    If this game f8ni
Both full back positions, probably one centre back position, right wing and Martial and Rashford need a bit more experience under their belt. Before you tear into me, that's just what I feel needs to improve before we can seriously contend at this level, i.e. against a true European top side. We may get there, but this match is a bit early for this side.

With regards to experience I agree and I'd include Shaw. He's made a big improvement over the past season and he hasn't been terrible at all. In fact quite solid and ideally his attacking could improve.

Right back... We've Dalot but who knows what will happen so I wouldn't mind a more experienced right back who's still at the top level but I doubt it since young has signed a new deal.

100 % right winger needs to be brought in imo.

Totally agree with this. Ref is looking for a way to become a star so far. I couldn't quite count them, but felt like about 6 consecutive fouls brought yellows. He's backed himself into a corner, so randomly decided to let the Shaw incident go without a yellow, despite making the 'dive' signal with his hands.

Guy comes across as a serious issue, anyone know anything about his Serie A reputation?

It's just European refs for me. Likelihood of pathetic refs increases as you get into the more important games. Ironic huh.

    Substitution for Manchester United

    Juan Mata image
    On: Juan Mata
There goes most of our pace going forward!
    Mata coming on. :(

I hope you all can quote me later with a snide remark because he scored the winner.

Being adept at multiple styles isn't a bad thing.

We were never going to keep 70% of the ball in every game.

Of course I'm not saying it is, but I'm a bit worried we seem to be stepping away from what we've seen during those first few games under Ole.

Martial is also off injured. We are pretty much fecked now... Mata is on
