That would also be my first team. I rather see Garnacho try and fail than Rashford strolling around

Debatable that Mount one. Garnacho needs to get use to the inside forward role. If it was more of a winger role then he’d be much better.
I know Garnacho style of play causes him to be slated a lot but Mount has a long way to go to get to Garnacho status within the club.

Everything Amorim says confirms that he will encourage effort. Garnacho puts in efforts every time, including in the press and defensively - that’s why Amorim gives him starts despite some problems with end product.

And thats the kind of standards we need to have.

I think it's a bit soon for Yoro to be starting but also Maz needs a rest. We'll see how it goes.

Maz aside, that’s probably our best 11 on paper at the moment. Looking forward to seeing how they perform.

I just hope the weather don't play a part . It's gone quiet were I'm from it's breezy now from bad .
Like the line up yoro to start he's getting 60 mind I bet. Amorin likes to ring the changes. And it's not a bad thing he will settle on a starting 11 in the future. Come on lads

Strongest would be Shaw and Maz for Martinez and Dalot, but fit Shaw is fantasy
Exactly shaw isn’t even included in any best team anymore due to his fitness. So as I said the strongest except maz

On paper, this is very close to our strongest XI in this formation I would say. You'd probably try to Mazraoui in somewhere and arguably Mount over Garnacho in this specific system.

Excited to see Yoro for a longer stint.

    Good.

Amorim is to Rashford what Mourinho was to Rooney.
You're saying good as if those starting have been anything special themselves. Honestly, since Amorim arrived, Rashford has arguably been our most dangerous forward—which says a lot, but not in a good way. It highlights just how poor our attack has been overall. It's a massive disappointment, especially considering the significant investment we've poured into strengthening that area over the past few seasons.

Just one English player starting, 3 on the bench. That’s actually been par for the course this season. The number of English players in our matchday squads must be at an all-time low.

It feels like he’s identified pairings that work better together - which is Garnacho and Hojlund together - and Zirzkee and Rashford together. I expected Zirkzee and Rashford to start this one, given Julie he rotates but it seems like he’s doing it based on the opposition, which is good. Let’s hope it works today and it’s a success, otherwise he has a second option to bring on off the bench

Looking forward to seeing Mainoo and Ugarte together in midfield.

So that’s our theoretical back three for the next 5 years?

If they do all stay for that long, I bet it’s going to be one of those “weird stats of football” where they inexplicably only start 8 games together despite all being first choice.

The famous midfield of Giggs, Keane, Scholes and Beckham only started twelve matches together.

They never lost, but were comprehensively outplayed by Juventus in 1999 to the point Fergie refused to play them together in the second leg (Giggs was eventually declared unfit).

    Is that true?!

Exactly. Garnacho, unlike Mount never goes hiding from the ball. He's also had far more good moments and games for us than Mount. So far, Mount has been very mediocre, invisible and his 'good' games are really nothing special. It's more that we noticed him playing, which was an improvement to what we expect from him.

Let's face it - Garnacho is incredibly frustrating and probably will be for a while but he and Amad are the only attackers on our team that get into dangerous positions and actually pose any threat to opposition.

That can’t be true. In a single season, maybe.

    Surely not...

A win brings us up to 8th! For the time being... Tough schedule will make it hard for us to really close that gap to the top 4/5 though.
