Ugarte having a very good game, made some great cutting passes.

A few candidates for Passenger of the Half, would rather Shaw or Maz in place of Dalot, who’s been anonymous.

Mainoo doesn’t look anywhere near fit out there. Don’t know if he’s still not fully recovered from his injury but doesn’t look anything near his mobile intelligent self
He was never that mobile to be honest.

Wow I feel like I was watching a different match to what I'm seeing here

I thought that was a good half. There are definitely goals in this for us. Bruno has been good. Mainoo has not and he should come off. I don't think he should be our default starting CM right now because he's not looked good for a while

Shit corner defending aside, the way we played for the equalizer was encouraging. We had a plan to play through a team sitting back and it worked. We have had flashes since then but lacking the quality and urgency.

I'm going to give Licha and De Ligt some stick here. The pass out wide left is always there yet De Ligt he hasn't tried it again after one failed attempt and Licha hasn't tried it at all. I'm wary of constantly building up through the right side where we're one Bruno dispossession away from getting countered. The conditions aren't helping but we can't afford to be passive. I believe we have the personnel out there to win this game if we just speed things up.

On days like today Maguire is quicker and more slick than De Ligt with his passing. There’s considered and then there’s how he’s been today at home to Forest.

I get that we're transitioning into a new tactic and starting eleven, but why do we have to be so fecking boring to watch along the way regardless of manager in the dugout and players on the pitch?

Forest are a decent, classic Nuno team. We’re not doing bad, just lacking a bit of bravery in the passing, which will naturally come as the game goes on.

Surprised at how pessimistic everything is. We haven’t been controlling matches like this for a while.

We have to address our left side this summer. Dalot and Garnacho/Rashford aren’t it. Garnacho might come good eventually but right now he has no business starting.

Much like under Ten Hag a chaos half of football. Forest with just 27% possession 109 passes in total are able to be level at half time and create one less shot on goal.
Didn’t feel chaotic to me at all. We felt in complete control apart from set pieces. Our set piece defending is a shambles. It doesn’t help that we have Martinez marking Andre the Giant on corners.

We need more flair, better link up play. It's too mechanical at the moment.

Our problems are set pieces, build up through midfield and missing chances.
As others have said, the center backs need to up the tempo and be braver with passing forward, but I'm not not sure if the midfield movement ahead is great.

How will we create chances if everyone wants to play safe? I understand possession that Amorim wants but if you don't create, you don't score. This is Forrest, not City or Liverpool. If this is the type of football that Amorim wants to play, I will feel disappointed.
We’ve created chances but not taking them. Creating chances hasn’t been our issue, it’s taking them that has cost us this season.

I think we're doing okay, we're controlling the pace of the game for the most part. Yes, it's mostly slow but that's deliberate to allow for bursts of energetic pressing and quick breaking, isn't it? If we can take the lead then still keep the ball, that will be the real test.

The ball wouldn’t have left the back and forth between Martinez and De Ligt if it wasn’t for Bruno, nobody else showing for the ball and he’s having to bypass our 2 midfielders to go and get it.
He's literally been a detriment to us getting the ball forward, he's failed constantly at it. Mainoo earlier on did a fantastic job at moving the ball forward.

Hook Mainoo off and put Casemiro on. Mazraoui for Garnacho and move Diallo to the middle.

The investment needed in the middle of the pitch and wing backs is evident.

US tv had Gary Neville commenting now. I don’t think he has a bit of personality, certainly he’s keeping it hidden this morning if he does.

We definitely are scary defending corners.

Exactly! But he misplaced a pass and took a few poor corners so some posters will have it down as a bad performance.

De Ligt needs to be hitting the diagonal more often out left instead of dawdling with it in the middle of the pitch.

He’s also had the opportunity to drive with the ball a couple of times and has declined, it’s frustrating.

Think we’ve played pretty well tbf. Not perfect but progress is being made. It’s not LVG football like some are saying, we’ve had 7 shots and 4 on target ffs.

I think it is time to sack tenHag. I mean Solskjaer. Wait. I ment Rangnick. And Mourinho.

Everything would be better with new manager.

We were told so by some people in here.

Was a good half I thought, you can see the formation and the players starting to learn to play their roles.

Still some annoying parts though, Bruno in equal parts good/bad is so frustrating. If he ever put 1 whole game together like he used to a couple of years ago we’d be so much better.

Aside from the first 91 seconds, no complaints from me. We’ve controlled the game well and are far stronger. Confident we’ll go on and get another but for me the performance has been very good.

Clearly we need to work on set pieces, vulnerable defensively and never look like scoring at the other end, we hit the first man on both our corners I think which is poor.

Mainoo has dropped off since his purple patch last season and isn't really good enough at the moment. Problem is who replaces him, geriatrics Casemiro and Eriksen?

Yes, on the occasions the passing has sped up they have been cutting through Forest quite nicely into good positions.

Terrible in the air defensively but there just are not enough good aerial players in the team, Cas is a big loss there and always having to hide Martinez on set pieces is not ideal for a CB.

People saying awful half, bizarre. Thought we looked really good for large chunks. But obviously still coming to terms with how best to progress through the lines. We’ll get there. There’s a coherence to our play and shape that hasn’t been there for two years.

The conditions are also atrocious. Forest have created absolutely nothing from open play. We look vulnerable at set pieces, but apart from that we are dominating play and posession.

The players are to blame. They are taking their time learning the system. They can’t or won’t move quicker . Half of them haven’t the intensity RA has demanded. Give him half a dozen of the players he could pick to play his football and we would be a completely different team in the way we play. A lot of players need moving on.

Maz for Dalot, Bruno maybe drops deeper in place of Mainoo and put Zirkzee on to add an extra passer in there.
