Good first half and deserved two goal lead. Forest have offered very little and we should be picking them off for another couple of goals in the second half although the weak bench may limit that

    I'm being argumentative?

    You're obsessed mate.

It was a great set up for the goal, if you're so adamant that it hasn't received the credit it deserves, start a thread at half time.
I was fine posting it here until you felt the need to point out that apparently everyone on here had noticed. You do know that you started engaging me, and then you're calling me obsessed? Jesus christ mate, it's such a pointless discussion, let's just enjoy the lead.

Malacia, Bissaka and Antony are a bit off today. Other players do well (or in case of Rashford very well even)

If Gakpo hits the ground running at 'Pool, everyone is going to lose their shit at United and Antony, in the same way they did when we signed Memphis and they signed Mane.
Different positions though, we clearly overpaid for Antony but he plays in a position where quality is much harder to find. Barely any good left footed RWs out there, much less available ones.

So far so good and hopefully a 3rd United goal is scored early in the 2nd half to basically put the game to bed.

Forest disallowed goal the correct call but a warning to United that a set piece is their best way back into the game.

Have the American commentary on my stream and they spent the whole VAR decision going on about poor Ryan Yates and poor Willy Boly and poor Forest and how he doesn't really mean to touch it and he's not even claiming it as his goal....

Completely ignoring the fact that Yates simply fecking missed and it doesn't go in if it doesn't hit Boly.

Considering that Antony's our only natural RW option, what's the point in hauling him off and destroying his confidence when we're two goals clear in a game?

We've seen the gulf in quality between him and his competition when it comes to keeping possession of the ball, so let the man play himself into form unless the team is losing points as a direct result of his performance.

Good point from Pearce (wow) on Antony's movement. I wouldn't have noticed that. He is rapid

Considering all things, we’re playing some decent football today. Hopefully we can build on this lead early enough to let our subs get their boots dirty.

I'm not sure if Antony has lost all confidence taking players on but if the only thing he does is cut back inside all the time, he won't last long in the PL!

He is one of the few on Talksport who know what they are talking about. Like you I didn't notice Antony in that goal too busy watching Rashford and Martial.

Nothings come off for him, but we’ve seen this plenty of times before with our attackers. Needs a right kick up the arse though after that half.

Some players you can see they have growth to their game but I'm failing to see how Antony will ever justify his 90 million pound transfer fee.

He brings balance to the team for sure but already he's not blowing me away at all. Struggles with the basics too often.

Was a very strange check, and even the explanation from Foy afterwards. What is the point in checking for handball when there’s a clear offside anyway? :wenger:

Agree, you’d have thought they would have checked the offside first before looking for potentially anything else.

You wonder if that turn he did then giving the ball away weeks back and all the criticism he got has knocked his confidence a bit. ETH should just tell him, feck the critics and do your thing.
