Absolutely gutted that I’ll miss the game because of work :(

This team deserves to win a trophy. What a fantastic springboard for the remainder of the season it would be

    C’mon United!!!
You can’t have it cheekily playing on your phone or something?

Signed up for ESPN+ today just so I can stream this legally in HD. Nice thing is they also carry FA Cup matches so now I'm set for Wednesday too.

    Nervous but optimistic.

    Game is gone ffs.

I just can`t understand why Weghorst is playing that much for us. I don't see at all what he contributes with, where the team couldn't benefit more from having a better ball player on the pitch.

Thought Dalot would start. He offers us much more on the attack with Antony starting. They can go inside or outside wheareas AWB can't really offer that. We also don't need to worry about Dan Burn pushing forward.

Jones’ face looks a little bit gaunt. Hope he’s well with his physical health!

    Phil Jones on the panel?

Also I remember reading RAWK a few days ago and most of them were convinced Rashford would start today

I think today he is in there for defending set pieces. Worst case scenario, we sub him off at half time and get much better immediately like we did against Barcelona. Martial being injured since forever has really impacted our season.

    There was nothing in it.

Gary turns back to the camera, doesn't see Ten Hag shaking hands with everyone, Ten Hag pats him on the back and Gary is too late to realise what's going on because he's a Muppet.

Ten Hag went to shake Neville's hand but he had turned his back. Ten Hag touched him on the back and walked away, Neville turned round to try and shake his hand but Ten Hag walked off. Neville stood there waving awkwardly
    So weird!

I think it's a case of him working really hard and doing what the manager wants, but I agree it's a bit weird, because he is so limited in many ways. With Antony, Bruno, Casemiro and Fred, I would say we have enough energy in the midfield to protect the back four. Weghorst could definitely have been sacrificed for a better player.

The players in this squad who’ve endured tough times during our trophy drought really need this win. Would be such a massive boost if we win to kick on and possibly win another trophy or two this season.

Feck me - I almost forgot what it feels like playing for a trophy at last! Getting really nervous in a good way as I have so much confidence with our team now. I will be behind them no matter what happens today.

The Sun, of course had to have its say. Newcastle are looking for their first trophy in 68 years. They won the Fairs (UEFA) Cup in 1969, a mere 54 years ago.

Phil Jones being there commentating just sums up how fuking useless he is as a footballer
