    Its one thing picking VdB over Fred, although VdB has done nothing to displace him, and Fred has been the far better/reliable performer last season.

    But people are picking VdB over Pogba, its absolutely insane. The less he plays, the more his stock grows.

    I distinctly remember when we actually played him last season and he put in average displays, people here were calling him a flop asking him to be sold. Its funny.

    I actually rate him and want us to play him more, but to pretend as if he is higher in the pecking order than McT, Fred and Pogba is :lol:

    If Ole doesn't start DvB again, I don't know why he stopped him from joining Everton then. This whole situation is so effing ridiculous.

    Just because people put him there doesn't mean he'll be confined to that position the entire game. He'll have freedom to roam around.

    If Lingard gets the start over a likely fit Sancho, I don't want to hear anything about Ole being ruthless.

    Lingard should be nowhere near this game.
     
    Is Fred definitely out then? Can't say I'm too fussed over that to be honest. At least Ole has an excuse to play someone, cough, cough, else.
    What are the chances of Uruguay doing the same as Brazil? Trying to think, what other Uruguay players are in the PL besides Cavani?

    Cavani was the only PL based player in the Uruguay squad. But there shouldn't be a worry there, as Uruguay cancelled his call up by formally withdrawing him from the squad in response to the initial PL stance on players going to South America for the internationals.

    United worded it as 'his call-up for the Uruguay squad was withdrawn' and 'Uruguayan Football Association... cancelling Cavani’s inclusion in the squad' in their statement, presumably highlighting it was Uruguay who made the final call.

    This is one of those eternal mysteries. James scored in his first few games then faded out, yet played 50 times for us. Does Ole just love headless running?

    Have to disagree there. As much as we like to shit on Lindgard he was very good last season and with Sancho just coming back from injury and hardly being stellar for us his first few games its not that clear cut

    Just to be clear, i want Sancho to start ahead of Lindgard, but i wont be too suprised if Lingard starts instead

    He had a great start for West Ham and then tailed off at the end. He should be nowhere near this game.
     
    Will be interesting to see how Ole handles this game. Many players will have had 2-3 days rest and travel from international games, then this game and then another 2 days for rest and travel before CL.

    He got fewer minutes than Dan James last season. And it was James' second season of being absolutely bang average and yet getting chance after chance.

    So yeah, nothing bizarre about it. It's baffling how he's been treated. I don't know if he could ever live up to the demands of United but he definitely didn't get anything resembling a fair chance.
     
    I really don’t see why people still want Pogba as CM. The mans a special creative talent who thrives on freedom. Plus he’s complete defensive liability at CM.

    Donny can play as a 6. That’s where he started with Ajax. Bit of knowledge on your own players wouldn’t go amiss.

    The Sun reported Tuesday that quarantine meant he wouldn't be ready for Newcastle. Tomorrow they will report that he will start and by Saturday morning they will create an article saying he has been made player-manager.

    He didn't play that role in an Ajax team though, atleast not that much. He was usually an 8 and later a ten.

    He is nowhere good enough in a sitting role, it doesn't suit his style.
