Why clear it to touch or pass it ahead,
When we can have a brainfade instead?
Why hoof it away or pass it back?
It's just not as fun as a panic attack!

My brain is faded with three centre backs
Defenders were defenders under Sir Alex
LVG philosphee I just can't hack
It causes me panic and horror and dread
This passing the ball to the lot in red

Can see us losing points again, dont like the midfield, dont like the defence and don't like Mata in the hole.

This. There is no midfield. Just Carrick on his own pretty much between 4 attackers and 5 defenders.

5 of our 6 summer signings not in the match day squad.

Of the last 8 players we have signed, only two of them are out there on the pitch today.

When you put it like that then winning games is a terrific achievement. This is Ferguson's squad out there.

Yet people are still moaning cos we're not playing free flowing, attacking football.

Makes sense not to rush Di Maria and keep him fresh for the Spurs game. He can really hurt them on the break with his pace.

Januzaj not in the squad is more surprising as I don't expect him to start at White Hart Lane. Must be a bit rusty after so many games without a single minute under his belt.

We will comfortably win today. As long as carrick plays in middle and mata supplies good through balls.

No way the frequency of injuries to our players can be down to simple bad luck.

Jonny, Paddy and Phil in defence. The jokes write themselves.

Looking forward to more from Falcao though. As long as we keep the ball in their half, we'll be alright. :)

We do have a Midfield. Rooney has been playing well enough in that role. A midfield of Carrick-Mata-Rooney should be enough for this Newcastle side. The lack of pace is worrying though.

Good that Falcao is getting a run, hope he scores as we need goals. If he gets in form and stays fit, he'll get us them.

Indeed. Glad that Carrick starts in midfield too, and that Pereira is on the bench. Hopefully he can get some minutes if we have a comfortable lead.

Why is it that every week on the day before a game a player gets injured in training.

FFS are they filming MUTV presents jackass the united version.

But don't worry! Everybody will be out to remind us after the match how we've spent 150 million but aren't challenging for the title.

Is this the first time Januzaj has been injured; presuming the lad is injured

That Newcastle line up is pretty decent. Colback and Anita will sit back while Sissoko and Perez can attack with the pace. I am feeling nervy today !

So 3-5-2 again. Nothing we didn't already know, mind.

Defence is probably the best we can start at the moment. Jones and McNair are good defenders. Good to see the latter starting as he's been generally very good this season bar that 30 minute cameo against Soton. Evans in a back three again however is a liability and I'm sure he'll provide us with a few more scares today as he's done all season. Wing backs are fine, and have been very good this season.

Rooney in midfield again with Mata ahead of him? Sigh. Even with Carrick beside them, that's a poor midfield. Rooney is an above average midfielder whilst being a lethal attacking midfielder and a arguably world class striker. Playing him in midfield is such a waste of his talents.

Van Persie and Falcao up front is good but because we have no midfield they'll hardly get any chances as no one bar Carrick and occasionally Rooney will spot their runs.

Because of the timing when it all started (US tour), his record (100% correct) which points either to a player or someone from the coaching staff. Last season when McDonnell leaked the team it probably was Rio (some sources reckoned Welbeck and Cleverley were involved too), but they are all gone.

I asked why would it be Giggs?
