Yup. Things just don't come off for him and you feel it's because he doesn't believe they will. I thought he was a cocky fecker who wouldn't lose it this easily. I'll have plenty with patience though, I have faith, think he'll be great.

Yeah. It's up to him to show that, though. I wasn't expecting fireworks from day one but at least track back to try and intercept the ball, press your man in attack and don't pass it back all the time. Just play simple football. When you do that you gain the confidence necessary to try harder things. He just tries the hard things all the time then sulks when it doesn't pan out. When he understands these things i'm sure we'll see a different Memphis.

Edit: Let's be happy that Pereira and Lingard are looking good!

I don't know, he seems quite confident to me. Had a shot from 40 meters for example. Trying to dribble all the time. Just been poor, like for most of the season.

Squad and youth players need to take the chances they're given. Pereira has been decent, the others sub-par. Wilson disappointing so far as usual at the first team level.

Pereira has been great! Totally in control in that half, but this game is probably not suited Wilson at all.. Memphis is the biggest confidence-player I've seen since Nani, though I'm convinced he'll be massive for us.
