Senior players badly let us down there, missing chance after chance, not stepping up for penalties, not making themselves available yet probably more than happy to take wages (JLingz looking at you)

Maguire is still one of the worst players we have ever bought, can play decent for 60 mins a game but you still know he has a fk up in him, Shaw looks nervous playing alongside him.
I knew we would lose on penalties, after the CR7 miss, Bruno shot hitting the upright when the goal was open.
Sancho looked dangerous, Rashford running off the ball was great, Pogba looked good first game back after 3 months, apart from the result we looked decent.
Mata lacks pace, but has a quick football brain and actually moves towards the ball.
There are other players who have the pace, but not a bloody clue.
Mata was far from the worst player tonight and he looked lively.Where was Luke when it came to pens????

He did seem calm. It was an emotional night with the Busby Babes, etc. Also recent controversy, etc. I feel quite sorry for the team tonight; thought Mata might have nicked one. However, I've got back from OT and watched the replay of the Middlesbrough goal and that decision is a joke.
Livid, anywhere else on the pitch he blows to stop the game. I was 100% that the goal won't stand. I still can't believe it stood. Chances not taken and that's what happens. There will be another incendent like that goal this week end and it will be disallowed.
It is a joke of a situation, it is a very poor decision but this is football and decisions go against you sometimes. It is unfair, but you have to suck it up, get on with it and create your own luck. We didn't do that. Our attack, at OT, against a championship side was pathetically bad. Even the goal was a deflection (it was actually heading wide past the right hand post).slept on last nights result and apologies for my sack the manger comment, annoyed at the time,I dont normally do knee jerk posts, but last night got the better of me.No chance of silverwear now this season. 4 players put of contract in the summer. A crap midfield, a 37 year old striker. No permanent manager. Major work is needed at our club.
Happens to the best of us. I think we would have won if we had other players available like Cavani, or even Jessie. We have left our squad incredibly thin for the remainder of the season which seems a bizarre decision- Status
