This post sums up the problem with the fanbase. Instead of questioning why we are unable to construct moves that open up a defence like City's second they just look at star names and think if they plug them in this team they will lead us to glory.

Sad state of affairs
We were open before that. Eriksen offers nothing defensively and McT doesn't know how to be a midfielder. We took off the only player with any kind of defensive ability at half time.Wth is lindelof standing in midfield?Bruno is horrible. I'd be very happy to see the back of him.No different to when they beat us 3-0 at Old Trafford with Moyes in charge, crazy gulf is still there and nothing has changed 9-10 years later.- Status
