    This is the difference between a world class manager like Pep and a novice who has been gifted the job on a silver platter like Ole after managing Cardiff and Molde.

    Pep saw the game in which he narrowly lost, made the correct tactical adjustments and has absolutely thrashed us in this first 45 minutes. Ole stuck with YOOF COUNTERATTACK BRITISH.

    If anyone still thinks Ole is the man, they need a brain transplant.

    I'm off to watch the latest episode of Power. Beats watching this tripe.

    He clearly would. He actually has positional sense and is proactive. Jones and Lindelöf are a bunch of idiots. How we’ve kept them and got rid of Smalling is beyond me

    He organised the entire defence and is the club’s best centre back. He would make a difference. It is unlikely it would be enough of a difference that United weren’t down at half time. The midfield is a desperate setup.
     
    Lingard is on a level with Kieran Richardson and Chris Eagles. Only in this era those players don't get sold and play week in week out.

    I'm seriously depressed after this performance, takes me back to the worst Mourinho performances but we don't have the best GK in the world anymore. :(
     
    Pep came out and said you were one of the best counter attacking teams around, then blitzed you on the counter. Don’t get the game plan from Solskjaer here, you look lost. If nothing changes City could really embarrass you in the second half, can see 2 or 3 more goals.

    That's fine but get a competent DOF to see to the recruitment. We need to be smarter on who we spend on.
     
    Second match where Jones and Williams start on the left hand side of defense and they are shambles at the back. City playing with a very strong XI and a point to prove after United beat them in the league at home. Even if it's just the League Cup, this has been horrifically embarrassing.
     
    It is really hard to look at this squad and see where the money has gone? It is an embarrasing squad to say the least.
     
    I feel like Pep is too much of a cnut and will tell city to sit back in 2nd half so Ole can save his job.

    They were better than him. He won't be a starter for any PL team at the moment.

    Mate, we need at least 3 new midfielders, brand new center backs and some good quality subs.

    That can only happen with a manager who knows what he wants and is good

    We all feared it, when we saw our lineup! And it's happened! Even with Sterling being sh!te.

    That third goal was utter farce.
    What the bloody hell was Williams doing there? He's favourite for the ball, just needs to kick it away, and somehow, on a beautiful smooth pitch stretches stupidly and trips himself up!?

    And we've all seen balls ricochet in off defenders, It happens, but Pereira actually raised his foot up to neatly side foot it in!

    Hope they go easy on us, as this could get even sillier, and make the return leg an absolute farce.
     
    Will the Glazers and Ed finally realise that we need to strengthen the team and get rid of dead stuff?! In this window they can get Fernandes Soumare etc

    Making repeated ridiculous challenges in the opposition half, leaving only Phil Jones to defend, is not Phil's fault.
     
    Can’t remember the last time we looked this hopeless, spineless and just completely void of any kind of purpose. City are a very good team, but there’s no excuse for performances like this.
