If we insist on persevering with a #10 in a 4231, he's probably our best player in terms of technique/strength. Would like to see him behind Rashford or Martial.Never thought I would say this but Rojo did really well - one of our best players after being a bit shaky in the first 10. But I now hope Mourinho is convinced that Herrera and Mata should start - all important games.Awful first half but came out of the blocks running in the second half.Extremely comfortable win. Aside from the first minute header, and some spells of possession, City didn't pose any threat at all. We dominated from start to finish.

I think it was a slight tactical change - getting Pogba to sit deeper and dictate the play and allowing Mata to move central.
This performance confirms that Pogba is at his best alongside Carrick and Herrera in a midfield three.Don't know if it was Giggs' comments, this place or Mou lighting a bit of a fire under the players after the Chelski game.. and while the yellows were unnecessary . . Every United player was better in the second, but Shaw was by far the most improved. Navas had him on ice first half, didn't get a sniff second.
