OK, Pogba or Bailly for the equalizer....it has to be!Thought we played well first 30mins, then Liverpool did, second half we have been absolutely dreadful. Its kind of just highlighting all the usual obvious things to me:
1) Why are people talking about signing a second more attacking right back, when Bissaka is never injured and improvign going forward....and more importanly, it isnt our squad needs improving, its the first eleven, in trms of priority its almost the smallest of any position
2) None of our centre backs behind Maguire are first choice centre backs or the right partner for Maguire, a quality centre back is without doubt a huge priority if we are going to challenge. ALso regardign the defence......I like him, but I an really not convinced Henderson is ready to be a number one here yet
3) McFred just cant function in a high press, they are not technically good enough to pass or dribble there way out of trouble in a high tempo game under pressure. Both are too similar and in all honesty, neither are actually that good at other parts of there game to be first choice players. When we signed Maguire I said we needed two centre backs....we still need another. I think we need two central midfielders this summer.....but signing at least one is THE priority for me this summer
4) Pogba is best on the left, Rashford is Gashford on the right. Greenwood is by far our best option on the right, but I dont se him there long term. With Cavani, Martial and Greenwood.....sign a right winger over a striker as neither Amad or Pellestri are probably ready
There HAS to be 3 signings this summer a cb, cm and rw. Ideally 5 with a CF and second CM, but hopefully 4 is realistic with the second CM....I think we will sign two players this summer though personally
Yeah, the difference being Pogba has demonstrably done it in the Premier League. Whereas VDB just looks more cowardly than a quarter of Dorothy's mates.
