The bookies have made United favourites today, whereas at Anfield we were strong outsiders. I also think the Burnley game has shattered their season, and our Fulham win has strengthened ours.

There's no doubting we've come out of the draw at Anfield as the winners, and it will help our chances today.
It will depend on the line ups. We've gone with a strong squad. They had Liverpool slight favourites yesterday morning when I looked.

I'd expect a similar game to last week.

Nothing to lose here, we should go for it with a mix of the first team and the youngsters.

I have a bad feeling about today.

Liverpool will find their mojo and the press will be creaming themselves for decades.

They'll no doubt go full strength for this one. Ole has to respond in kind.

Our next 3 games: Liverpool, Sheffield United, Arsenal.

Hopefully, Ole will go with our best starting 11 today, make changes for bottom of the table SU, then back to a well-rested first 11 for the trip to Arsenal.

Exactly. Our weaker side should still beat SU.

I fully expect our strongest spine starting (Maguire, Fred, Pogba, Bruno, Cavani) and for us to go for this full-blooded

I know we're in a title race, but we win this today, and we're 4 wins from lifting our first major trophy in the Ole era.
Agreed. If we lost to Liverpool, and its not a gimme even with a full strength side, imagine the fallout on here. He has to go with a really strong side.

Just looked Utd 6/4 Pool 2/1 Draw 27/10. Although Salah the bookies favourite to score first goal.

I think we will see McTominay, Fred & Donny midfield today since Matic is likely to play against Sheffield United while Fred & McTominay are likely going to play against Arsenal the next one.

I have a feeling we will rest Cavani which in my opinion we shouldn't since I want him to play against Arsenal but rest against Sheffield United. I want to see Cavani in big game.

I think this is what we will see plus my hope Cavani starts. Greenwood & Martial will play the Sheffield United game instead.

    Cavani
    Rashford VDB James/Mata
    Fred McTominay
    Telles Maguire Lindelof Tuanzebe
    Dean

Hope VDB isn't starting, give him a go against Sheffield Utd, he's not the level required currently for a game against Liverpool. As much as we need to rotate, I don't want to see us going out today.

Do you think? He’s good against the press though, I think he would have a good game against them.

I feel like the difference between us winning and not winning is taking our chances.

We might get 2 or 3 good chances but in recent weeks we haven't been so clinical. Just scoring a goal or two. When we get those big chances we need to take them.

    Any reason why?

They literally just went three without a win before facing an Aston Villa youth side. Now have failed to win a further two against 'proper teams'. They're realistically on five without a win against the usual level of opposition.
    Just a feeling, really.

Are they bound to bounce back or is this going to end for Klopp like it did with Dortmund years back?

Depends how weak the rest of the team is to be honest, if the rest is strong it might be alright.
Fair! Ole has confirmed he will play some part so I’m guessing he starts to be honest (or 5 minutes from the bench).

Yeah, I do think this Liverpool side will at some point 'bounce back'. They're too good not to, but at the same time I do agree with Jamie Carragher's recent statements that maybe this group of players has peaked and some of them will be moving on soon. This is probably going to be Klopp's first time to rebuild what he has built at Liverpool. We've seen it at other teams down the years, there are always big players to change every 3-5 seasons or so and Liverpool are coming to that point.

Wouldn't surprise me if they turn it around and win another trophy, get close in the League etc. But also now, if wouldn't surprise if they're fighting with Leicester, Spurs and Everton for a place in the top 4 like we were with Chelsea & Leicester last year.

I hope we don't end up giving them a catalyst for their upcoming games, because they really could become a top 4 challenging side this season instead of champions elect. It's probably too early to say just yet, I'm not on the bangwagon they they're done already. I think we'll know the answer to this within a month or so though.

We're at home so losing wouldn't be surprising.

Bruno should not start this. He's in terrible form and also needs a rest.

I really hope we beat this lot today. We need to kick them while their down, a win against us could rejuvenate them and get them back on track we cannot let that happen.

Agreed, so not sure where the confidence of an easy win with a rested team comes from.
    Its on paper only.
I'd dare say we haven't had that many easy wins but on paper our weakened 11 should be enough to beat SU. Not always the case

Wow was that 22 years ago....I remember it so well!! Hope for a similar result today.

I was there that day and the tension was unreal.
We had missed so many chances.
The sheer relief when we equalised was unreal

How sure are we that we want to win this?
    100% positive
Home game against Liverpool in the Fa cup
Apart from the obvious winning breeds winners, we get to either further hammer the confidence of their players or get beat and provide the stimulus for thier revival

anyone wanting to get beat by Liverpool at home under any circumstances doesn’t get to call themselves a fan

    That’s probably a safe prediction!
