Take Salah, Mane and Firmino away and the rest are a group of above average PL players, and not much more.
I do agree with this. However, system and tactics are so important in the game and Klopp is figuring out how to play to the teams attacking strengths.

I worry about next season - if Liverpool can play well with this team, imagine it with Keita in midfield and other reinforcements in defence and gk?

Getting very nervous, I hate this fixture so much. No skin left on my fingers.

    Come on UNITED!!!!!

I just wonder how he’ll go at this. Fair enough it’s anfield but they were there to be beaten and he shut it down. It was more attacking than the previous season with Just god awful tactics, but arguably they are in much better form and this is a game he just can’t lose.

So will Jose try and shut it down at home against Pool or go for it. He’s in a bit of a Catch-22.

Can’t afford to lose, surely can’t try and spoil the spectacle either.
Why he can't lose it? He can't lose the Sevilla game, even if we lose this we can still finish 2nd.

I find it odd that people still pick on Liverpool for having inferior individual players when they have shown time and again this season that they are a better sum of parts than we are. Under any manager, I agree that midfield is meh, but under Klopp's style - they're gonna have a say together, undisputed. It's another matter that they still mess up games due to defensive brain farts and mistakes, but that doesn't undermine the effectiveness of the pressing from Liverpool's midfield and attack.

I agree. I've said as much before myself. It's frustrating.

Are we playing 2 central mids vs Liverpool's 3?

Pogba's out of form, shouldn't have started anyway. Hope our front 4 helps out in central mf.
What a load of nonsense. He should've been benched for whom, for McTominay? Who was amazing against Palace

Losing to Liverpool at home. No, just can’t be done. Mathematically we can finish 2nd if we lose but why make it harder than it should be. Can’t afford to lose.

And yet they are jousting us for 2nd. Goes to show how well Klopp has them playing in an excellent system despite us having a better team on paper.

Klopp is doing a good job, has them more than the sum of their parts, not something I think you could state about Utd.

Far too sensible for most on here!

Where's the knee-jerk, panic-stricken, doom, gloom and despondency

Alexis finally centralish and can interchange with either Mata or Rash.. solid midfield base (not very creative but won't be too leaky) and Bailly is back! So they won't find it easy to breach us.

Just hope we are not very sluggish that is the main concern.

Strange game to bring Bailly back which could prove costly. Very little creativity in the side.

Well we have two wingers playing at full back, a number 10 playing right wing, and a number 9 playing left wing. Square pegs, round holes.

Is Martial injured or poor form? Have been away from football for a while

So the last time we conceded 3 goals at home was....err....I can't remember that far.
And you have come to conclusion that tomorrow will be the first time we will concede 3 goals, for the first time in God knows how long?
I realise that many people on this forum love to bash our club and spread negativity, but what logic is being used to conclude that our team is this bad?
Do people realise that we are the 2nd best team in the league?

I don't think we'll finish as the second best team in the league. I think we look very shaky and this Liverpool team will see that and take the game by the throat. I can't stand Liverpool, my Dad supports them and spent most of my youth trying to wind me up about them, so I really hope you're all right and I'm wrong here! I didn't specify exactly 0-3 btw. I said similar, so 0-2, 1-4 etc and sadly, I do see this happening today.

We wont win this game imo. Always thought we'd lose this one anyway once Liverpool dicked Porto and we struggled against Sevilla. Shame about Pogba/Martial. :/

I'm honest to admit I don't understand the lineup.

You walked right into that one.
