      Manchester United 3-0 Liverpool

"It's a story of missed chances for Liverpool. Yes they have played well to create those chances, but still in the last 20 minutes of the first half and for spells in this second half, they were very poor defensively. I would not be scared of playing Manchester United either though. They have been poor defensively as well. They are good going forward - I wouldn't say great - but with the players they have they always look like conceding."
      Look at this clown.
Aww crap. Gonna have to listen to this clown on MOTD... sigh. Feck him.

Evans and Jones got so much better as the game wore on.. They both were horrible at the start but they just grew into the game.. Thank god for Carrick in defense!

That second half was excellent. Some loose passing around the back would be one of my criticisms and Evans seemed especially culpable for this, but overall who can complain at 3 - 0 vs the dippers. Fellaini was a different player in the 2nd half too. De Gea is an absolute cat. God I hope we never lose him.

Good win in the end. DDG easily the man of the match.

Saying that 3-0 hardly tells the whole story, DDG bailed us out big time. It is worrying how easily we can be got at a lot of the time. If Sterling finished his chances early on it could have been a different story. But 3 points is all that matters and the win continues our good run and will continue to build confidences among the squad.

While obviously the defensive issues are a problem, lack of Rafael, Shaw, Smalling, Rojo and Blind is a huge part of that. If we could ever get 5 games in a row with a fit first-choice defence then it'd put a lot of this to bed.

Yeah the saves are important but you just can't analyse the game like that. Credit where's due. We have a world class goalie yes, but still we need to score to make it a a win and we won it emphatically. Enjoy the win mate!

You all who lives in manchester must treat De Gea like a king
Mata got his luck twice this season.
    Our cb pairing is poor.

6 out of 6, lets make it to 10.
    Cmon United.

He didn't say that. Well.. there was more.
He said the positioning was great so he was in perfect position to make those saves. Not too many flying saves that make the "best of" highlight reel.
It did sound rather dismissive, at least in the moment.

Maybe I am just being harsh on him after it sounded as though he had the wind knocked out of him when Sterling whiffed on the chance prior to the first goal...

    His a waster. Absolute mug.

Ahhh, what a great win, there's nothing better than beating l'pool 3-0! Cheers guys, remember to celebrate this win well today! We just have to keep going now and keep winning matches.

Solksjaer: This was the best goalkeeping performance I've seen at Old Trafford, even after playing alongside the likes of VDS and Schmeichel.

DDg was magnificent. The whole team played solid but too many miss passes from Felliani, Evans and Jones. But, two of them just coming back from long term injury so it's understandable. Very please with the result. 6 out of 6. Dec and early Jan matches are about results more than performances.

Our worst performance of the season. We kept giving the ball away gifting Liverpool chances.

De Gea was the difference between winning and losing he was outstanding.

Rodgers interview ... talking about last year, won the game comfortably..

    Jason McAteer:

"Brendan Rodgers will say we had great chances, their keeper was man of match, we go again."

He said this with a smile on his face.

What makes this even better is we played without: Blind,Di Maria, Rafael, and Shaw...So happy for the players and especially De Gea.

For me the biggest thing today was how relentless we were in winning possession back, it was almost Bayern-esque the way our players would hunt the ball down after losing it. Brilliant. You can slowly see LVG's philosophy coming into place, quite exciting when you think about it really.

The only thing for me is our defence. de Gea surely can't be this incredible for too long and someone like Costa or Aguero would have easily put 3-4 past us IMO. Hopefully we get a CB partnership of Rojo and Jones (IMO our two best CB's) going after xmas and with Shaw and Rafael back fit too I think this would help to build some momentum and stability at the back.

Other positives for me were both Young and Valencia having good games, RVP looks to be back in form. Our play is becoming more and more fluid with every game - something which I hope will become dramatically increased with di Maria back in the team. Herrera was also good when bought on, too.

    De Gea:devil:

Only thing he won't save is good ol Brentan :wenger:

    I'll get my coat
