Changes needed for United
Because Liverpool are playing with a diamond midfield, Carrick is having to spend a lot of time looking after Lallana. It means he’s not getting as much time on the ball as usual and, at the moment, Mkhitaryan, Martial and Pogba are not seeing as much of it.
It may need Mourinho to come up with another way of getting the ball to his attacking players.
The full-backs will be key. Diamond midfields are very narrow. If United are going to get back into this game, they’ll need to get forward.Why is Pogba on Lovren?
