    In general Matic is too old/past it but he was fantastic in that 45.

    This game proves the point when everyone criticises Fred and McTominay.

    They just don't have the quality with the ball to be starting week in week out.

    That 45 from Matic was better than what I've see from the other two in months.

    DM a must for us this summer. Clear as day.
     
    Not bad at all for a side stuck together for the first time.

    Keep it like this until 60-65 minutes, then bring Bruno, Pogba and Cavani on at the same time and watch Leicester absolutely wilt.

    Weird, I see lots of runs Amad makes but we seem intent on pursuing the left flank, perhaps because Williams is shite in playing the ball out.

    I actually think Elanga struggled in taking on players.
     
    A young Matic is the exact type of player we need right now
     
    Elanga is rapid, i wish they would give him the benefit of doubt and give him the ball when he gets going
     
    Leicester are garbage. Like they don't even want a CL spot.

    Greenwood, Amad both very sharp. Matic was brilliant, kind of funny how good he's been today IMO. Mata as well but faded at the end. Vdb alright but a bit sloppy at times. Not much to his game to be honest.

    Williams is a terrible fullback, always looks like he's panicking. Definitely someone who needs to go to the Championship and play regular football and forge his own career away, but I'd be shocked if he becomes much.

    You should have seen them against Newcastle. You wouldn’t know which team was fighting relegation and which team, top 4
     
    Considering the rustiness in all these plates, it was a good half. Matic has been so good on the ball. He did let the runner go for their first goal though. Still MOTM so far.
     
    Absolutely dreadful match but I guess from our point of view that's understandable. Leicester have also been dreadful but they have less excuse. I'd probably take a draw if it meant I didn't have to watch 45 more minutes of that rubbish.
     
    To be fair to Matic I'm not sure it's his technical ability that is in question. He's still the same player with the ball at his feet.
     
    Good half that, we controlled it well at points. Like the look of Van De Beek in midfield, he still has a lot to learn but he’s much more involved there than when he plays behind the striker.

    Matic has looked class... game gone as expected with so many changes..

    Sad to say but the signs are there. Great athlete but has these brain farts too often which a center back can't really afford.

    Also will just add Diallo has been quite decent at tracking back and helping defensively. Hopefully Ole sees this and he can compete for Dan James minutes soon.
     
    Yeah, Matic great. Sloppy on the ball. If Juan gets his act together, there are chances here for us. Brandon getting some undue stick. We'll be better second half.
     
    Leicester really should be doing better, shouldn't they? We haven't played particularly well.

    I feel a bit bad for Elanga and Amad, it's tough to have an impact in a game like this where the team is disjointed and sloppy
     
    Genuinely think we’ve been alright this half. We’re up against the 4th best team in the league with a similar away record to ours. None of our boys bar Mata/Matic/Greenwood/De Gea have had many mins (although Thomas scoring is ironic).

    Overall, decent half. Leicester press has been pretty well contained. Some sloppiness from the defenders, but they’re getting harried non-stop. Let’s see if Leicester can keep that up…
     
    No pressure at all on our lads tonight and I think they have done pretty well considering they don’t play week in, week out up against these Leicester players who do.

    Greenwood & Amad have been very good and both VDB & Matic have contributed very well. Williams & Tuanzebe have looked shakey so far, particularly Williams who just looks so short of confidence.

    Overall, a pretty decent half by the players who have stood up well. Leicester look shite.
