Yes really. Rashford needs to learn to finish as he missed 2 chances in the last 2 games that he should have buried. That's ok in games where we win 4-0, but there will be games that we are struggling in where those missed chances will cost us. Martial has shown what he can do in two 20min sub appearances so he deserves the start.
Martial has been outperforming him.Martial should take this chance and cement his place in the first line-up now. Has been in full concentration since the preseason and the previous 2 matches and now he has full time to show his confidence and talent on the pitch.I hope Martial goes on and plays a blinder - on his day, comfortably the most talented attacker we have with his dribbling, close control and cool finishing.

Absolutely no room for Martial to feck about today though. He needs to hit the ground running and not stop for the rest of the game. Mourinho's watching closely and Rashford hardly deserved to be dropped.

Edit: Okazaki will obviously drop deep to help out but even Okazaki, Albrighton, N'Didi and James are no match for our midfield.You could equally argue Rashford doesn't deserve to be dropped and Martial deserves to start. It might not be a case of who is playing better and who is "dropped" but Jose taking the long view thinking Tony needs a start more than Rashford.Bit harsh on Rashford as he's done nothing wrong - but that's being at a big club for you, there's always top quality competition for places. Rooney's record will be extremely difficult to beat for that reason.

I think he's trying to manage their mentalities as much as anything. I'd imaging being benched for another game as Martial would be frustrating as feck. Seems like he's trying to juggle between them to keep them both happy.
