    Yeah this, reality is we have Martial, Antony, Casemiro, Eriksen all key figures for the first 11 all out and we don't have capable backups. Having played every couple of days as well. Ten Hag needs to find a way to grind out a win here. But there a lot of things against us.

    Leeds front 2 are on top of Varane and Martinez.

    Their midfield push up to squeeze the space between our CB and midfield which is why you're seeing Varane go long. Our wingers are too high up the pitch. We need more to drop back to create triangles so we can bypass their press.

    If we're going long we need someone with pace to give their backline something to think about. Currently Wout offers nothing in that regard. Put Rashford central and bring Sancho on for Wout.
     
    Weghorst is not giving me any confidence. Not see what some people see in him. His first touch is a lottery and he is either not getting any service or he is not making himself available

    Yep and me too, hate them but they came to old Trafford today with a plan and a spirit that we can’t match, we have bottled it so far and I see them scoring again.

    We controlled the Cystal Palace game. What are you on about? Crystal Palace only became a threat when we went down to 10, which is hardly surprising.

    We haven't been playing poorly. Not sure where this is coming from? Are we the finished article? No, there are clearly deficiencies, particularly in attack. We are effectively operating with only 1 attacker at this time. The others need to pull their weight.

    Yeah, and that’s mostly because he’s so slow and immobile. We aren’t some magical side who can create chance upon chance for an immobile no.9 who lacks attacking positioning.
     
    Think we'll take this. Awesome half by Bruno. Garnacho off, Rashford over to the left? Weghorst not much use today, Fred not having a good game either.
     
    To buck the downbeat trend, the half was very entertaining. We played well after a rocky first ten minutes but could and should have at least equalised.

    Last season we'd be down and out already. If we keep playing out game, we'll get back in and hopefully turn this around.

    Don't get the doom and gloom tbh.

    Ighalo had some good performances and an absolute worldie goal in the EL, he was certainly alright in the first half of his spell here. Wout has been flat out invisible. Both him and the team has to share blame for that.

    Edit: He was also probably the single most happy-to-be-playing-for-the-club player we ever had, complete feelgood story all around.

    Our attacking players never pass. I was 100% sure he will go for a shot. Strange but everybody does that.
     
    We’re the only club in the world that insists on playing an arguably top 10 in the world player on current form out of his favored positions to fit in a 19 year old rookie and a Dutch never been.

    Easy to fall into this at times.

    And it's certainly easy to forget they pinched an early goal then watched Garnacho miss 2 great chances.
    If we score early, we can easily go and win it.

    Trouble is, i'm not confident at all.

    Would be better if we created chances for him, there was a couple of times he was open in the middle but Garnacho went for goal instead
     
    I don’t rate Sancho at all but he cannot be a worse as a winger, in current form, than Weghorst is as a striker.
     
    It just looks like one of those games. We might get an equaliser very late and that be it.

    Rashford is invisible and he looks frustrated out on the right. He needs to go left or through the middle.
     
    Should have started some crowdfunding in the winter window to get us a proper striker.
    Can't wait till the Qataris buy us. Weghorst is an abomination.

    You are one of the rare people on here who actually used their head before spouting shit about Wout. "Like playing with 10 men" well mate, maybe if they tried to find him from time to time, it wouldn't feel like it.
     
    Doubt Leeds can keep this intensity for more than 60-70 minutes, especially since they already lost two players.

    This is nonsense, since the World Cup we've won 8 games by more than 1 goal. 6 if you take out games against lower league teams. Our first 11 is very good, our issue now is tiredness and back up players not up to the required standard.
     
    We have had some good chances, just need to be more calm in those crucial moments.

    The midfield looks unbalanced, which was expected tbh.

    The carelessness at the beginning is the biggest disappointment. Should have rode the opening pressing a bit more smartly, play long if you don't see a easy pass.
     
    Whoever these nobodies on Bein Sport are, they're trying to make out Martinez should have seen red for the accidental and then light tough of studs on big tough Bamford.
     
    If this Weghorst guy weren't dutch he'd be nowhere near this team. Absolute fecking joke of a player, compared to what we should be aiming for.

    No way. It's a chaotic game. No control whatsoever. We could be winning 3-1 or losing 0-3.
     
    Fred against teams like this is useless. When you’ve got a player who keeps gifting them the ball back and fouling them when he loses it you lose so much time and opportunity and that’s how we end up dropping points to crap teams with crap players like him in the team.
     
    Please move Rashford to the left.

    Garnacho for all his dribbling with that kind of end product isn't worth it, now that we're one goal behind, and only have a half left.

    Sabitzer and Fred are too alike and not able to control the midfield. Fred is never a no6.I am thinking pushing Lisandro into midfield. Sub one of Sabitzer or Fred out (pragmatically Sabitzer, because Fred energy is guaranteed, and he has more experience in PL).

    Antony may not be explosive, but he does the tactical side so well. Helping to take the ball from the back line. With Rashford, who prefers to position himself closer to defender to compete for those run in behind, our right wing basically non existent, and our play overall become more predictable with tendency to attack from left wing. Familiar issue pre Antony.
