    Ideally we have one presser (McT/Fred) and one playmaker (Pogba/DvB).

    It’s not realistic to expect Pogba to play the left wing long term. That means Sancho, Rashford, Martial, Greenwood, James, Amad and whoever else are competing for one position on the right wing. Long-term we seem to be setting up for a front three of Rashford, Greenwood, Sancho with Bruno in behind as a #10.

    What I’m trying to say is that we have too many talented wide forwards to only play one of them at a time. Playing two limited, defensive-minded players in midfield forces us to play our best midfielder out of position and keeps another one of our skillful attackers out of the side.
     
    Cant believe we let them off with a 5-1 thrashing. Could have been 8 with better finishing first half..

    Great start to the season, Bruno and Pogba were great and Greenwood getting off the mark straight away.

    Christ, that was fun. 3 goals by Bruno, 4 assists by Pogba, Sancho came on, Varane unveiled. Fred hit the target and scored!! Oooof. So much to get excited by.

    Great game, especially with the crowd back. It reminded me of the 2006-07 opener where we smashed Fulham after the WC shenanigans and having our star striker leave thereby setting the tone for the rest of the season.

    Sarcasm is lost on you mate. I fully agree with what you said. Also if we are playing 2 mules in CM then they should at least close the gaps

    Ref didn't give us anything today. Let Leeds get away with murder. Not surprised he didn't give Bruno the match ball either.
