That’s not true. 1 goal and 5 assists from EL. He was that good..Blimey, that was a tough watch. Think Bailly, Pereira and Chong were our better players, McTominay and James, not so much.

I sometimes wonder if I'm watching the same game as other people. James was very poor, but Timo done exactly what you expect from him. Defensively solid, physically dominant, but offers very little going forward.
Lingard also was decent to good, apart from one shite touch that the whole thread thought was infuriating. By no means did he have a worse game than Mata.
I don't mean to pick on you in particular, I just genuinely wonder what some players have to do to have their opinion on them changed after social media and rubbish journos set their rot in.
Which teacher?Not much to take away as we rightly played the fringe players and it wasn't really surprising that it didn't really tick until Pogba was introduced, he seemed to control the game straight away.
Impressed with Chong but you can see by his positional awareness that he isn't a left back, would like to see him further forward as he is so direct and pacey. Hope he doesnt leave and is given more game time next season.
James was woeful, TFM was 'meh' and Ighalo was just Ighaloesque.
As soon as Martial came on, Mata picked his game up ten fold (which still didn't get the juices flowing).did we sign a Brazilian with blonde hair? He looks good. On a serious note, i watched 10 mins of the ending, and Andreas looked amazing on the ball, yes I know, it was LASK.
What are peoples assessments of the game overall, statistics wise, looked a shambles. Was surprised to see Ole player such a strong team although I think our youth would have done much better. How was Lingards game? Two in two now, some crazy stats there.
From the 10 mins i saw, i thought Chong looked good, Mengi looked raw but has a presence about him and I'm excited to see more. Would have loved to see Garner come on at some point too.
Overall, got the job done, we all know our second string is really poor but we needed to close this with minimum fuss.
