Rafael couldn't really hold down a spot at Lyon, so it's not like he left United and showed LvG wrong.

Hope vdb can do the double pivot role, has the talent but have to see on the pitch how he partners Fred. Good amount of experience but loads of quality in there and loads of potential goals. Selection wise, can't complain. Would've liked some more trust in Henderson, but whatever.

Very few top teams play with a classic #10. Hybrid attacking midfielders who work hard and create is what is expected now.
That's why I think us signing an athletic DM with good discipline would help unlock our midfielders. Ndidi would be a good option.Need to win and then we can play on counter vs PSG n Leipzig. Has anything been said about him? It’s so weird, especially following the signing of Telles that he should now be back up right back which will be more natural for him as a right footer.
He has played wide for PSG - but surely not today.
And I don’t think Bruno is a classic #10 either, he occupies the #10 positions in an attacking sense but he offers great defensive work too. Don’t want to get into it but there are many clips where he’s hounding opposition whilst Pogba is walking.
Playing Bruno as #10 essentially means we trust him to do what he needs to create chances with the other players behind him anchoring and covering. I’d rather we improve the quality around him than change his position.- Status
